After what seems like 20 minutes, I snap out of it and realize the situation I'm in.

In a rush, I quickly back out of the studio and semi-slam the door closed.

Still staring at the door, I let out the breath I had sucked in when we met eyes. That was so awkward. Now I have to sit through my time here with the embarrassment on my shoulders.

I turn from the door and sit on the couch with my body sinking into the cushions.

I stare at my knees as my face slightly burns from the shock and embarrassment I'm feeling. After a few seconds, the door to the connecting studio opens.

I look over to see Soobin shuffle out with both hands fidgeting with the hem of his blue-grey hoodie.

Neither of us speak first. I can't handle the silence any longer so I start.

"I-I'm sorry for running into you like that. I d-didn't know there was anyone in there, I thought it was just a recording. I understand if-"

"N-no! It's ok. It's not a big deal." he cuts off my rambling.

I only slightly loosen the tension in my shoulders as he says this. With hands still on his hoodie hem, he slowly walks over to sit next to me.

We don't look each other in the eye, we're both too nervous and embarrassed to.

He moves one hand to rub the back of his neck. "I- just- .... N-no one besides the boys have heard me s-sing before." He says shyly.

I look at him in disbelief, he's never sang in front of someone before and he sounds that good?

"But that was you singing in that song you guys made, right?" I asked.

He nodded and slightly looked up at me. The way he was looking at me made him look like a little kid that didn't want to be scolded. He didn't want me to tell him he was bad at singing.

I smiled. "Well, I think you're a great singer. I've never heard a voice like yours before." I say.

In the middle of my compliment, he lifted up his head all the way. I see a slight blush creep up onto his cheeks as he turns his head away to hide a smile.

Taking a mental note about how easy Soobin gets flustered, I decide to backtrack a little.

"You guys are so talented. I don't think you realize how much potential you guys have to take your performing career further. I don't mean for you to take this lightly when I say what you guys are doing is idol material stuff." I spill out.

Through my rant, Soobin just sits there and listens. From his amused and wide eyes, I can tell that no one has ever really told them this before, or that he didn't think anyone would tell him this.

When I'm done, he stares at the floor for a second, seeming like he's trying to decide something.

After making up his mind, he looks towards the connecting room. He gets up and makes his way to the room.

Before even getting 1 foot away from the couch though, his shoe collides straight into an open water bottle.

Realizing what he's done, Soobin looks down to see the half full water bottle laying on the floor with its contents spilling all over the place.

As soon as he registers what he did, I see his face and ears light up red in embarrassment.

I have to bite the inside of my cheek to stop myself from smiling at his cuteness as I get up to help the struggling bunny.

"I- Oh god. I'm sorry, I didn't see that there." He said while covering his face with his hands.

I stifle a slight laugh. "It's ok. One of the boys probably left their water bottle on the floor before they left. Do you have paper towels or something to wipe it up with?"

Soobin nods and walks over the wall cabinet in the corner of the room, his hands still over his glowing red face.

He comes back with a roll of paper towels and hands them to me.

I tear off a few big sheets and lay them on the spreading puddle. When I've covered most of the water, I get on my knees and start to soak up the water into the towels, with Soobin following suit.

In the middle of cleaning, I look over at Soobin to see him using his hair to cover his face, which is still tinted red along with his ears.

I smile at his cute, embarrassed state and continue to soak up the water.

Moving all the now wet towels to one side, I reach for the last towel that hasn't soaked up the last bit of water yet.

As I place my hand on the towel, a bigger hand arrives and sets itself on mine.

Looking up I see Soobin with wide eyes and ears even more red than before. He looks up at me with a red face and shocked expression, to which I share the same expression with.

Before we can fully process the situation and react to it, the door to the practice room opens.

A/N

Did I accidently make that whole scene more awkward than I wanted? Yes.

Am I going to keep it that way? Yes.

Anyway, I didn't say anything about it last week, but I hope everyone is ok after the whole artic blast situation. I live in Texas for a reason, we're not built for this.

The other thing I want to say is to watch and support Road to Kingdom. Out of Stray kids, Oneus, Ateez, and The Boyz I don't know who I want to win.

And also, a oneshot book might be in the works 🙃✨

Love you guys! 💛💙💛💙💛
