I had no idea why I was shaking in the slightest, maybe it's because I'm under the covers with a very handsome, shirtless man, but I don't think that's it. My mind raced as I tried to figure out why I was shaking so badly.
"Hey, deep breaths, relax, it's okay."
"I don't... I don't know why I'm shaking though."
"Panic attacks don't always have a reason."
I realized he was very correct, my heartbeat was skyrocketing and breathing was getting very difficult. I tried to catch my breath, but it was nearly impossible. He pulled me closer and I clung to him, he rubbed my back and stroked my hair, humming softly to me. I slowly started calming down and I could tell he knew. He continued humming a rhythm and I hummed along with him. I caught my breath and pulled away from him a bit, looking up into his eyes as he looked down into mine. I smiled, nuzzling against him as he cuddled me.
"Thank you. Not many people can calm me down like that."
"I'm glad I could."
"What were you humming? It sounded familiar."
"Just a song I used to listen to."
"It sounds a lot like one that I know."
"Oh yeah? And what song is that?"
"A song called Ophelia."
"Would you mind singing it? I heard from Steve that you have an amazing voice."
"I mean..."
"Please?"
I sighed softly and decided to sing. I cleared my throat and imagined the beat in my mind.
