Project Amortentia | Jeverus

Part 3

Severus waited as james rinsed out his shirt. The amortentia had soaked through completely and stained his white dress shirt. James stood in front of the sink trying to rinse it out as best he could, also drying his torso.

Snape didnt mean to, but he caught himself inspecting James' shoulders and back.

He was more tan than severus, obviously. He had broader shoulders and his back muscles tensed as james felt the cold stare of severus.

" could you maybe stop staring at my back?" James smirked. Severus snapped his head up and shook his head.

This really bothered James. For whatever reason, James never had the effect he usually had on other people on severus.

" im just inspecting you. Making sure you didn't burn." Severus said in a monotone voice.

James was getting more and more pissed. Why didn't he care? At least he was trying to make sure he wasn't burnt. Thats kinda nice.

" otherwise i might be expelled, for burning you." Severus said and walked to the door.

Now james was actually pissed. He turned around and pinned severus harshly against the wall. Severus flinched but still had a straight face.

" are you only trying to save YOUR ass?" James empathized 'your'.

" isnt it obvious?" Severus raised an eyebrow, eyeing james up and down.

He will admit, james had a nice body.

" are you checking me out?" James smirked again.

To this Severus just scoffed and smiled a little, but it quickly faded away.

" please Potter. The least you can do during this whole ordeal is try to not be a prat." Severus spat and walked out the door, leaving James in the bathroom alone.

James exhaled loudly and kicked the doorframe.

James snatched his shirt from the sink and wrung it out, putting it on while its still damp.

When he came outside, he found severus leaning against the wall.

He realized they had both forgotten their bags and robes in the class. Hopefully lily would grab them.

" why are they still damp?" Severus pointed to his shirt.

" didnt bring my wand." James stalked off.

Severus scoffed and grabbed his shoulder. James stopped and turned around.

" hold on." Severus held up a finger before grabbing his wand from his pocket.

He flicked his wrist and pointed to James' shirt. It immediately dried and suddenly James wasn't so cold anymore.

" you'll catch a cold if it stays wet." Severus touched James' face and caressed his cheek. James stopped and looked at severus, his cheeks now heating up.

" im sorry. You're in this too, because of that faulty cauldron and my amazing potion making skills." Severus smiled.

James laughed quietly and held Severus' hand to his face.

" ill try to keep that in mind. I wont be cold anymore. It will just make it harder for you." Severus pat his cheek and walked past his shoulders.

Severus was a little taller than James. Just a few centimeters. You could tell by how their shoulders lined up.

James was around 176cm and severus measured to 178 cm. Only 2 centimeters.

" t-thank you."

James couldn't say anything else. Severus just nodded and smiled fondly. He then turned away and walked off to dumbledores office.
