" what was that about?" Teddy laughed. Severus looked back at the door where james stood just moment ago. What just happened? james never canceled on him, especially not last minute.
" uh sorry teddy i don't think i can really hang out today. I need to see what that was about so sorry." Severus went to move but teddy grabbed his wrist.
" seriously? you're just going to go?"
Severus looked at him and knotted his eyebrows.
" yes. because i am concerned. what why?" Severus asked. Teddy shrugged and rubbed the back of his neck with his other hand.
" i just thought that we were going to, you know have a date?"
Severus' confusion fell as he realized what had just happened. they both thought it was a date.
" is that what you think is happening? that we're dating?" Severus asked.
" well i mean yeah. That's what lucius told me." Teddy said confused. Severus took back his wrist and shook his head.
" look i don't know what you thought but that is not what's happening okay? look im sorry but i've really got to go now."
Severus waved and ran off, leaving teddy alone. He walked down the stairs and into the hall. as he was running off he bumped into Andromeda and lucius.
" Oi sev! what's going on! i thought you had a date with-"
" you." Severus pointed to lucius absolutely fuming, cutting andromeda off.
"what did you tell teddy?" snape asked angrily. Lucius raised his hand and stepped back.
" what?! i thought you were gonna go on a date!"
" well we weren't! and now he thinks we were going on a date and then James saw us! he thinks that i hurt him even though i didn't even know we were DATING! apparently!" Severus yelled. Lucius made an 'O' face and nodded.
" sorry yeah ok i should not have told him that." Lucius nodded and apologized. Andromeda smacked his up the head and sighed.
Snape then sighed and kept running.
" wait SEV! where are you going?!"
" where do you THINK andy?! i have to go to James! also i left teddy up there so you might wanna go up there yourself." snape winked and ran off to gryffindor tower. Andromeda put down her hand and smirked, scoffing.
" he doesn't see it, but hes slowly falling in love isn't he?" Andromeda turned to lucius. Lucius smirked and nodded slowly.
" He is. He cares so much for james that hes willing to abandon all the proper manners he grew up with and completely leave a guest unattended." Lucius turned to andromeda. She got his drift and raised an eyebrow.
" oh. well then i must attend to our guest now shouldn't i?" she smirked and skipped towards the astronomy tower.
" yes you should." lucius smirked and walked off, leaving andromeda to teddy.

severus ran to the gryffindor dorms as quickly as he could. When he ran up to the fat lady and yelled the password, he had bit of a spat with the portrait. something about him being rude and the fact that he isn't a gryffindor or whatever.
when he entered he saw James' friends sitting by the fire, all with worried expressions.
" sev!" lily ran up to him, making everyone else snap their heads back.
