Part 4

" SEVERUS!"

Like most mornings, severus was awoken by a huge commotion in his room.

" aren't you supposed to be noble people? Aristocrats and yet you act like children when waking me up!" Snape yelled as he got up and collected his robes to get ready.

" but we ARE children severus. Whats a little fun gonna do to us?" Regulus smirked. Lucius snorted and stuck a tongue out to snape. Snape rolled his eyes and shut the bathroom door.

He ran his hand down his face and clutched the sides of the basin.

When he looked down he saw a tiny little box, with a tiny bow on it.

" what the-"

Severus picked it up and opened it. Inside was a tiny shard of the leg from the cauldron that tipped all the amortentia on james. It was engraved with "J.P + S.S".

Snape picked up the charm and turns out it was on a chain. A necklace. He couldn't help but smile at James' attempts.

It had been 2 weeks and everyday James tried something new.

Severus didn't want to admit it but it was......nice, having someone care so much for him. Even if it was temporary.

Severus really found it adorable.

" oi! Sev. Your boyfriend is here!" Lucius yelled through the door.

Wait what?

From the other side you could hear little snippets of " hes not my boyfriend. Yet."

Severus smiled at his little antics.

He opened the door to the bathroom to see a lot more people than he left. Before it was just regulus and lucius but now it was lucius, regulus, andromeda, bellatrix, james and sirius.

" what the fuck. Are you all just multiplying? How did you all get in here? How did they allow gryffindors in?" Snape yelled.

James was turning red and staring at snape. He looked down and realised he had taken off his shirt to get in the shower.

Bella started snickering and leaning on andromeda.

" oh for salazars sake. andy, bella, why are you here?" He asked.

" well, we saw that regulus had let in the gryffindors in and andy had the AMAZING idea to go with them!" Bella smiled sickeningly.

Snape groaned at glared at regulus.

" so it was your fault?" He asked.

Regulus just smiled and shrugged.

" and why are you two here?" Snape turned to the Gryffindors. James was still blushing and trying to look away while sirius was trying his absolute best to not make fun of his lovesick friend.

" umm. I- I just wanted to see if you wanted to walk to breakfast together." James said while sirius started to burst out into silent laughter.

James punched sirius in the arm and whispered under his breath " would you shut up".

Severus looked at him and shifted. He raised his chin slightly and nodded.

" that..... that would be nice. Sure. We can go together. Im going to change then." Snape turned around and went back to the bathroom.

" oooooh. Severus is smitten." Andromeda teased. Bellatrix broke into loud cackles and Snape immediately snapped his head back.

He threw a pillow right at andromedas face, which hit her square.

" ow! Sev!" Andromeda yelled and threw the pillow back, snape dodging it easily.

He went back into the bathroom and locked the door, sliding to the floor, his back against the oak.

He sighed deeply and brought his arms around his knees, resting his head on his forearms.

He never gets a morning off does he?

He heard feet shuffling from the other side and closed his eyes. Soon there was a knock.

" hey. Severus?"

It was james.

" they're gone. I was wondering if you're ready?"

Snape couldn't help but smile. He got up, throwing on his black dress shirt and grabbing his tie.

He opened the door to james and smiled.

" yeah. Im good. Lets go."

He grabbed the remainder of his things like his book bag, wand, house robes and his hair tie.

He put his hair into a high half bun and walked over to the door, James following pursuit. 

" after you." Snape motioned to the open door. James scoffed but smiled.

" what am i? The lady?" He asked. Snape just laughed and wrapped his arm around james' neck and over his shoulders.

" sorry. Im just used to doing that for andy and cissy." Snape said.

" not bella?"

" oh no. Bella never lets anybody get the door for her. She'd rather blast it down than have someone do that simple task."

James smiled and let out a small laugh. He brought his hand up to severus' that was laying loosely on his chest. He grabbed it and entangled his fingers with it. Now it was snapes turn to blush. He cleared his throat and looked around, anywhere but his hand. Even when he cleared his throat the second time, james didn't budge.

They finally made it down the stairs and to the common room, where they saw all of snapes friends waiting by the portrait hole.

" oh for gods sake you didn't leave?" Snape exasperated.

" Nope!" Sirius stuck his head out from where he was standing in the back. He had regulus in head lock while regulus was hitting his brothers arms trying to make him let go.

" i see you've snagged yourself a slytherin Prongs." Sirius teased.

" you too Padfoot." James smiled back, referring to the struggling regulus in his arm.

" nah. This one is just family." Sirius finally let go when regulus stabbed him with his finger.

" finally." Regulus dusted off his shirt and adjusted his tie.

Sirius ruffled his hair in which regulus snapped his arm away.

" come on! Lets go!" Bella yelled as she skipped through the entrance.
