It was dark, the air was thick with smoke and rubble. No one was sure the others had made it through the initial first attack that came from the ship. It blocked the sun, that was how big Thanos's ship was. Somehow he had been brought to the future, and it pissed them off.

Tony walked over piles of debris after he had woken up from the collapse of the Compound. He had picked up Steve's shield along the way to find the others and then saw his mother's brother laying on the ground. The Captain was unconscious from the blast, they were all covered in soot, dirt and so much more from the blasts. "Come on, pal. Wake up." Tony states as he lightly kicks Steve and the famed Captain gasps for air. "That's my man." Tony states as Steve breathes in deeply, his lungs filling with air. The Iron Man kneels down and holds out the shield, "You lose this again, i'm giving it to your kid." Tony teasingly threatens Steve and the Captain chuckles as he still regains his body from being blasted out of the now destroyed Compound.

The Compound that had his sister's belongings, everything she owned in the States and was dear to her, she had moved into the Compound after Thanos's first attack. But one item he knew was safe, was their mother's hairpin. That was secure in his belt on him in this very moment. He wouldn't leave it anywhere until he had given it to his daughter.

"What happened?" Steve asks breathlessly as he looks around, slowly intaking the damage and destruction.

"You mess with time, it tends to mess back." Tony murmurs, "You'll see."

The two men make their way out of where Tony had found Steve and see Thor simply standing and watching someone. When the two walk out and stand beside Thor, they finally see who attacked them.

And they were beyond pissed.

They see Thanos sitting across from where they stood. His head was dipped slightly as if he was in thought. He was wearing armor, armor they hadn't seen him wear previously, and then they knew. This was the Thanos before the stones, the conqueror. The fighter and warrior.

"What's he been doing?" Tony asks Thor.

Thor shakes his head, "Absolutely nothing." He mutters slightly confused.

"Where are the stones?" Steve asks, but deep down they knew his question held deeper meaning. Where was Mary's soul?

Tony motions with his hand to the debris and fires going on around them, "Somewhere underneath all this." He answers, looking briefly at the Captain, then looks back at where Thanos sits. "All i know is that he doesn't have them." He adds.

"So, we keep it that way." Steve states, his mind going into high gear and thinking out possible scenarios as he and his two friends try to strategize.

"You know it's a trap, right?" Thor questions.

"Yeah. I don't much care." Tony replies, "He's the reason Mom is dead." He states and the two men beside him nod in agreement.
