Chapter 6

"Uh... um..." I stutter out. He blinks and steady me on my feet. "Thank you..." I said, in a hush tone. My face is probably as red as a tomato right now. I take a quick glance at him to see him with a red face. I clear my throat and turns to him. "Wanna continue our walk?" I said. He nods his head. Then he keep on walking.

Well... that was awkward...

Y/N P.O.V

Ever since the day I walk with Hiccup. I realize that D/N have been acting kinda strange. Like she's not happy seeing how close I am to Hiccup.

Right now I'm flying on D/N back. I smile softly at the thought of Hiccup. To be more specific, where he caught me to save me from falling. For some odd reason... each time I think of him, my heart would start beating faster.

What's up with you, Y/N? Why are you smiling? I snap out of my thought when D/N asked me that. "Huh... what? Nothing... it was nothing... don't worry..." I said.

D/N P.O.V

It's definitely not nothing. She forgot that riders and their dragons are connected. I can feel what she's feeling. I KNOW for the fact that she has fallen in love for that kid and I don't like it... not one bit.

Time-skip

Y/N P.O.V

As always, I'm wiping D/N with some wet towel. She close her eyes as she seems comfortable. This makes me smile softly.

I can hear footsteps coming from behind me, so I turn my head slightly. The person stops walking and stand in front go me.

"Hey, Y/N..." he said. "Hello Hiccup..." I said, with a soft smile on my face. He walks closer and take a seat next to me. I turn around and continue wiping D/N with a wet towel.

"You do this often?" He asked. "What?" I said, as I turn to him in confusion. He gestures D/N with his hands. "Oh... this?" I asked, lifting my hand which is still holding the handkerchief. He nods his head. "Oh yeah... once a week... she loves it when I do this..." I said.

He smiles softly and hums. I didn't realize that he is moving a little closer. I can feel a hand brushing on mine. I look down to see Hiccup's hand. I can feel my cheeks getting warmer.

"Y/N... I-" he starts, but the sound of growling stops him. I turn my head to see D/N, she's standing as if she's preparing to attack. Hiccup's eyes widened and he stands up, taking a couple of steps backward.

"D/N! Cut it out! What's wrong with you??" I asked. She ignores me and continues to glare at Hiccup. I let out a sigh and turn to look at Hiccup. "I think it's best if you leave... I'm sorry for the way she's acting, Hiccup" I said. He nods his head in understanding. Then he turns around and leave.

I turn to D/N once Hiccup is out of sight. "What is wrong with you?? You've been acting so weird lately" I said, crossing my arms across my chest as I look at her questioningly.

I just don't like seeing Hiccup around you... she said. "Yeah... but why??" I asked, crossing my arms across my chest.

She looks away from me. I raise an eyebrow, feeling confused by D/N's strange change of character. She's never like this. Why did she hate Hiccup all the sudden. Isn't she the one trying to convince me to stay here? So why is she acting this way now?

"You're being so weird right now..." I said, I turn to walk away from her. But she nudge from between my feet and toss me up. I shriek when that happens and I land on her back. Then she soar up in the air.

"Seriously... what is wrong with you??" I asked, in an annoyed voice. She didn't say anything and continue to fly. I let out a sigh and lay on her back.

I just don't want to see you around them so much... I heard her respond. "Aren't you the one asking me to give Berk a chance?" I said, crossing my arms on my chest as I watch the cloud passing by. She didn't respond to my question.

D/N P.O.V

And I regret it so much. I never know that you and Hiccup would get so close. I'm 100% sure that he wants to confess to you. It's also kind of obvious that you felt the same way. If I let him confess, the two of you would end up dating. Which means we might grow apart. That's why I act that way... because I don't wanna lose you.

I'm sorry, Y/N...

Y/N P.O.V

"Is it because I'm getting close to Hiccup?" I asked, after a few moment of silence. What? I heard her respond. "It's about Hiccup, isn't it? The fact that him and I have gotten a lot closer... wait... are you jealous?? Are you scared that I might leave you for him?" I said, sitting up to look at her.

She's silent for a bit. Yeah... she finally said. My eyes soften a little when she just admit it. My eyes soften when she admits that she's jealous.

I yawn softly and stretch my arms in the air. "D/N... Can you take me home? I'm getting kind of sleepy right now" I said. Fine... she said. She turns around and head back to Berk.

We land back on Berk. I pat her head one more time. "Next time don't be so weird... no matter what... you will always be my best friend, I love you D/N... so you don't have to be jealous, okay? Besides... I doubt that Hiccup would like me back... so you have nothing to worry about" I said, I hug her softly.

D/N P.O.V

Oh Y/N... how clueless can you be? Hiccup is in love with you too... it's just about time until you and him end up together. Then when that happen... you will leave me... I don't want that.

Y/N P.O.V

I pat her head softly. Then I turn around and enter my house. I make my way to my room and lay on the bed, instantly falls asleep.
