"If you're still upset at the fact that we have to leave Berk. Don't be, Y/N. It isn't your fault. We are doing this because we want to keep you safe. You're one of us, love..." he said. I wrap my arms around him. He hugs me back. I lean my head against his chest. He place a hand on my head, gently caressing my hair.

This is my home... and I'll protect it

Y/N P.O.V

I open my eyes and notice I'm inside a tent. I slowly sit up and get out of the tent. I walk towards where Hiccup is. He's busy making something. I turn to look at the blueprint.

"Well... someone hasn't slept" I said. Hiccup turns to look at me. He smiles when he notice it's me. "Yeah. Well... that Light Fury won't let me within a mile of her, and neither of us will be getting any sleep or finding the Hidden World until Toothless takes over" he said. I pick up a few of Toothless's scale from the ground.

"Hey!" I hear Hiccup said. I turn to see Toothless've push him out of the side to look at the tail Hiccup is making. "What do you think it that?" He said. I let out a giggle as Toothless looks excited.

"I heard you've tried this once before... and he didn't want it" I said. I pick up the scale and place it inside a mixing bowl. "Well... until now, he didn't have a reason to, right Bud?" he said. He turns to Toothless to spit his saliva inside the mixing bowl. He wipe the excess that spilled on his hand.

He starts crushing the scale to make a black paint for the prosthetic tail. I let out a soft chuckle as he works on the paint. He heard it and turns to look at me.

"What?" He asked. "No.. nothing. I'm impressed. I mean... look at you, Hiccup. Embracing change. I'm really proud of you" I said, smiling at him. He grabs the brush and start to paint over it.

"Well... he's my best buddy. I want him to be happy. Never say this until he brings her back" he said. He place a quick kiss on the side of my head. I turn to look at him, and shakes my head. He walks off taking the tail with him. He stands in front of toothless.

"Alright... fire when ready" he said. Gobber let out a gasp. I open my mouth to warn him. But Toothless already shot a fire at the tail. I cover my mouth as Gobber is covered in smock. His mustache caught on fire.

Hiccup moves the tail and gasp at the sight of him. Gobber turns to look at him with an unamused face. "Well... at least you know the tail is fire proof..." he said. He licks his finger and put out the fire that is on his mustache.

"Okay..." Hiccup said. Toothless instantly runs up to him. He circles around Hiccup once and settle down in front of him. Toothless's tail moves in excitement as he wait for Hiccup to put the prosthetic tail on.

"Please... this isn't helping" Hiccup said. Toothless instantly stops shaking his tail. "Well well... someone is excited" Erret said. Hiccup starts to work on the tail. "Well... fresh of for his first date. How he loves the creep..." he said.

"We're the ones going crazy. The sooner he brings back that Light Fury the better" Gobber said. "Yeah, but to do that. He needs to fly without me" he said. I just let out a sigh and turn around. I walk off, but not too far from them.

I take a seat by the cliff. D/N joins me. She sits down behind me, circling her head to place it on my lap. I place my hand on her head, caressing it softly.
