Athena forced open her eyes, and found that she was dressed in a new, pristine hospital gown; her first thought being that she had to live through the process of her torture again. However, after more speculation, she figured out that her setting was completely foreign, so that gave her a glint of hope for safety.

Her vision was blurred slightly, but she found out that the cause of this was the sleeping gas her rescuers had released. Looking to her right arm, Athena discovered multiple IVs attached, pumping in unknown liquids of all colours. The only one she vaguely remembered was the yellow sight of Morphling, which she could recognize from the drug the District 6 victors had been using.

Still being in the dark, the woman eventually gave up overthinking, and decided to revel in the comfort of her new hospital bed. It was a significant upgrade from the stone block she had been granted in the Capitol, so Athena's dreams were filled with searched out hopes of survival and visions of a new Panem: a contrast to the distressing nightmares she had experienced previously.

Unfortunately, the victress could only encounter a short time of slumber, for her peace was disrupted by a rush of nurses and doctors alike pulling back blue divider curtains and refilling medicine. Athena desperately tried to identify even one of these new, masked faces, but had no luck, and felt exposed. She had not a clue where she had landed, and the last thing she remembered was in the Capitol.

The cold grip of Peacekeepers was the only thing stabilising Athena as she stumbled back into her chamber. Screams of desperation continued to ring in her ears, courtesy of a flock of Jabberjays, deliberately released upon her restrained body in punishment against her words of warning.

Not only had the shouts been physically excruciating for her ears to bear, they also awakened too many strangely positive memories with the owners.

Waves were crashing against rocks in the tropical arena, as Athena and Finnick embraced together, trying to forget the future threats.

Sweat was dripping down Athena's forehead as she clashed swords with Johanna, within the training centre for the Quarter Quell, trying to forget what the arena could thrust at them.

Shouts of helplessness were erupting from the newly-crowned victress' mouth, as Caspian's tense but caring arms engulfed her, trying to make her forget the loss of her parents.

Laughter was traveling through the air and bouncing against the mountains, as Clementine and Acacia rejoiced in each other's past gleeful moments, trying to forget about their iminent deaths.

The greeting of the cold floor tore Athena away from her remembrance, and gripping onto the conveniently placed handle on the wall, she forced herself up, and looked pleadingly at the door, in hopes for any food, or at least water.
