(( Little note, this will be the last part I do outside of Dipper for now, I have been dealing with a little drama internally cause of a subject I touch in this story, not exact but it just made me feel like I couldn't deliver the best of his side for now... Enjoy everyone. ))
" Look Stanley I know you are eager to get home but you have to remember we are staying at Soos's home not ours, we sold it to him all those years ago because he was going to take care of it, not so he would look after it. "
" Ok Pointdexter I get it, sheesh I'm just saying I want to relax and take a load off, I wasn't implying it was still our place. Still my chair if he hasn't tossed it... spent years getting that thing to remember my butt. " I had always had little fights like this with Ford, he was understanding and knew I needed conflict at times to take my mind off things. Many nights I can clearly remember Bill still talking to me, taunting me that he would hurt the kids or even someone I cared about at the falls, and five years ago he kept good on that promise and hurt so many people I loved.
" Ok so we will be in town soon and I will drop you off at Gideon's so you can get a new car for Soos, we luckily made it back before Melody had the kid so we need to get them something safe and practical, and since I barely know that kid I doubt I will get a good deal. "
" Good deal?! Ford I literally fought that boy, even Dipper got swings in. Heh. Sheesh you're suppose to be the smart on. " My arms fold as I fall back into the seat a bit, the truck Ford drives was a beauty, four wheel with a full cab and bed, a beast on the road but it would do well when we got the new place, since Wendy could hook us up with furniture quick hopefully.
" Yes Yes you fought a child, not something everyone would be proud of Stanley. Still from what Soos told me, Gideon is doing great, and is even back in town because he is helping his dad out while he is getting better... sounds to me like you should give him a second chance." Ford looking over at me, as I look back, all I can see is that same knucklehead who tried to pawn off a book to me only to be sucked into a void for thirty some odd years thanks to me. I loved the bastard, but I couldn't be soft on him or else he would get an even bigger noggin.
" Ok. FIne. But I swear if I come back and you can hear him laughing I am blaming you! " Pointing with my rigid stance in the seat, only to fall back and relax some more as Ford only smiled which brought my own to curl, true we never looked at one another but we could always feel better together.
The drive was pretty uneventful, compared to fighting sea monsters and alike me and Ford really just enjoyed the peaceful journey for once while we pulled into the valley and made way towards the town, taking the outer as the Stan of War II was hefty on our trailer so Ford would have to head to the lake to park it, no doubt McGuckets would help him out since I had my own chores.
" Ok Stanley, now here is the card. " Taking the bit of plastic from Ford and raising a brow. Looking up at him as my head cocked to the side.
" Wait a minute, don't we have to get a loan? I mean don't get me wrong but even Gideon has to work with a bank to make everything legit. "
" I know that, but the down payment needs to be upfront. Put in a good amount and then we will pay the rest off naturally. We need to get that credit score of yours fixed still. " I knew the guy was teasing me, but I still wanted to punch the dork. Stepping out of the truck, Ford smiled and sat there as I only shrugged and asked.
"What?"
" Can't wait to see them I bet... like me. Can you imagine how they've grown? " I smiled wide and nodded to my brother before patting the window.
" Go on before you make me all sappy. I am sure you have a lot to catch up on with your old pal. " Ford nodded back and would take off a few moments laters as I exhaled hard and tried to muster up the courage to turn about. I was sporting my sea attire still and kept my beany on for the time since I was not use to not having something on my head. Walking into the lot I would be greeted by a burly man who had tattoos peeking out from his collar and sleeves, but nothing terrible.
