That day the skies tore apart and we all were left to realize this could be it. All sorts of creatures roared out of the skies and what made it worst was even the older "demons" were showing up that survived our last encounter. True the rogue gallery was short but even seeing that they came back sent a few people into pure terror because of their memories. Though we did not just roll over like last time.
" Wendy take the side road near the shack and clear up the rabble there! " I hear over the radio as I spun around the corner in my custom truck, beside me sat my Dad who was navigating the terrain as my brothers used the system set up in the back seat to aim the defense system at Golem bats and a few other prowlers that tried to jump the car, sickly large cat-like beasts who looked like they were from some hellish scripture. Drooling fangs and glowing marks along with their bodies.
" Gotcha Stan! Over! " I swerved around a broken-down house that was part of the original valley, much of the layout was warped and changed now, the bowl of Gravity Falls now four times larger and new buildings began to show up randomly, as if breaking through our reality, maybe even our timeline as if the future was trying to cement itself and give the Entity time to break through the atmosphere.
" Ease up there Wendy, we don't know how much this beauty can take! " My father called out, his burly voice booming over the screeching of the flying eyeballs. As their beams hit the truck our barriers activated, the symbols etched into the metal with the material that was ground up to paint into the markings allowed us the same protection that Dipper had created with Ford on the Mystery Shack, though this one altered for most interdimensional attacks.
" I know I know, but hey you've seen the others in action! " I call back and punch it as we roar down the road and the boys all hoot as they take out a small swarm that attempted to overpower their way past our defenses. I continued along, pulling the gear shift to spin us around and drive in reverse towards the bunker, the entrance opening as we neared while many creatures would barricade themselves in front as if trying to break our momentum and trap us out.
" Oh no, you don't! " Dan would call out and pull himself out of the window, squeezing and popping out like a toy almost until he grasped the mounted launcher and spun it around, normally meant for ahead of the truck, he aimed and set out three shots that exploded in a burst of powder that twinkled and sprinkled over the beasts making them burn away like paper, not as sickly as one would think these things would look burning up.
As the coast cleared we all settled back into our seats, the weapons flipping back into their compartments alongside the bed and frame of the truck to hide as their latches shut automatically once the weapon system went to rest mode. Our truck ramped back off the lip of the descent into the bunker before I spun around and drove onward until we reached the Pine's home where a few other cars sat with Ford hard at work to repair any damages as Soos would be doing the heavy lifting and Melody brought food and drink to those who needed it as the large hanger was fitted to a shelter under Ford's preparation.
" Wendy! " Ford called out and would meet up with us when I parked over the lift so they could check out the vehicle later. " How did it run? Are the blasters doing their job?! " Ford would check on my wellbeing when I got out of the driver's seat, careful to ensure I wasn't hurt as Dan made the whole truck wobble, revealing the massive size of the beast as even Dan stood just under the height of the truck's roof. The boys all skippered out and ran over to Melody looking for food as Marcus tried to keep our youngest brothers from overwhelming the active wife/mother who still had her own child to watch over.
" Ya it was amazing, like you said the fuel cells make the engine purr...the weapons have a little kick but you'd think we were in a Sci-Fi flick. Dipper really outdid himself, didn't he? " My smile was weak but Ford just returned it with a warmer one before nodding. Giving my shoulder a gentle pat.
