"We should really invest in a wheelchair Kook!"

"My legs will be fine tomorrow."

"But think of the cool tricks we could doooooo!" The elder whines.

"Hyung you act like a kid sometimes."

Jungkook chuckles.

They were sitting on the couch, flipping through the number of channels. Suddenly Taehyung turned the TV off.

"Let's do your speech exercises."

"Okay..."

"The doctor wants you to sing. Its said that when singing, all concentration goes to the pitch and flow of your voice."

He continued reading.

"All your focus will cause no stuttering during your singing, which will result in reduction of stuttering on normal speech. If these exercises go well, you actually might not have to go to speech therapy."

He says.

"Ready?"

Jungkook nods. They scroll through the list of songs with best voice control. They decided on a song called Euphoria. It had sharp notes, but Jungkook was sure he could do it. Taehyung played the music, letting Jungkook warm up. Slowly, Jungkook sang the song, no stutters in his words. And Taehyung was lying if he said he wasnt shocked at the boys beautiful voice. Sure hes heard Jubgkooo hum or quietly sing, but never so clear. And never so beautifully.

The youngers eyes closed as the words left his mouth, oh so softly.

"The surroundings are getting more and more transparent~"

He sang.

Nearing the end of the song, there was a high note that Jungkook was a but scared to do. Taehyung paused the song.

"W-what if it h-hurts?"

"It shouldn't hurt Kook. The doctor says the higher you sing, the more normal it feels."

"Are you s-sure?"

"Well listen to yourself. Your stuttering went down a lot, didnt it?"

"Y-you're right..."

"You ready?"

Jungkook nods. Taehyung replays the songs few seconds back. Jungkook sings.

"No matter who shakes this world

Never let go of your hand

Please don't wake up from your dreams

I can hear the sea from far away

Crossing the dream, beyond the bush

Go to the place where it becomes clear

He sighs, the songs music in the background. Slowly opening his eyes, he sees Taehyung, mouth hanging open. Eyes locking with the younger.

"Jungkook.... T-that was amazing..."

"W-was it?"

"Beautiful..."

They started into eachothers eyes, hypnotised by the the rhythmic pulsing of the pupil. They stared until...

Knock knock

Clearing his throat, Taehyung quickly left to get the door. Jungkook sat there, drowning in his thoughts. He shouldn't have felt a skip in his heartbeat because of one compliment. It's probably just the leg paralysis wearing off. He can actually take steps now while holding on to objects. Realizing Taehyung was taking a while, he called out his name.

"Taehyung?!"

Taehyung walked in with an irritated expression, softening as he talked to Jungkook.

"Please dont freak out..."

Confused, Jungkook looks behind the older  boy shocked to see...

"M-mom... d-d-dad...."

"Hello Jungkook. Long time no see..."
