Taehyung was trying not to cry. He was lying on his side on the couch, a small blanket lazily draped over him. He was curled up like a ball, head resting on the arm rest.

Why did I say that?

I didn't mean it...

I was referring to myself...

Not to Jungkook.

He thought. But just when he recalled the hurt look on the younger boys face, he did let a tear drop before quickly drying it.

"Men dont cry. Men dont cry."

He closed his eyes and repeated over and over, even though the tears kept falling. His head completely overtaken by what his father would do. To him... to Jungkook. Maybe even Jennie. Taehyung paid his father's bestfriend to lie for him... No. No. This cant be happening...

Why is life so hard for him? Why couldn't he be born into a normal family... a more open society? In a place where men loving men, women loving women, love in general would be normalized. In a society where your gender doesn't matter, where a label isn't needed to live life to the fullest. In a place where you could just be yourself.

What a dream...

Taehyung wiped his neverending tears while texting Jennie.

Texting: Jennie

Taehyung: my dads coming to work tmr. Deny everything he says about fake dating me. Just say we stayed friends after breaking up recently.

Taehyung stepped inside the building he worked at, recieving knowing stares from a few of the employees. If course they told everyone he killed Jeon. Idiots.

Surprisingly enough he just went where his feet took him. The the old abandoned gun range deep in the basement. This is where he'd always go when he was stressed. Only Jennie knew he came here, which is why he didnt even had to tell her to come. She was already there. Silently walking inside, he feels her stare.

"Are you gonna talk?"

She barks.

Shes definitely mad.

"Jennie... theres something wrong."

"Yeah no shit sherlock."

"Y'know how I killed your dad..."

"Yeah..."

"Before I stepped into his office, he called my dad. He told him about us fake dating and he told my dad...."

"What?"

"He told him... that he thinks I'm gay."

Jennie looks at him eyes wide.

"What?!"

"He told him about Jungkook..."

"So now your dad is in the hunt for Jungkook?!"

"Not exactly. He um, he wants to clarify with me first. Then he wants me to immediately get engaged. A-and just to make sure... he wants to kill the boy I supposedly love... Jungkook."

"Wait, so you do love Jungkook?"

"I- I ... I do. But I cant."

He says quietly lowering his head. Jennie hears the pain in his voice.

"You cant... or you dont want too?"

"I cant. I cant let society hurt me. I dont wanna be looked down on, or mocked. I cant let that happen Jennie."

He looks up, staring Jennie right in the eye. Eyes not leaving eachother she says.

"So tell me Taehyung. Is it societies decision... or yours?"

"I-its my decision Jennie. Which leads to the next thing...."

".. and what's that?"

She asks.

"You're free. Take Jungkook, and please hide him somewhere safe. For some time..."

"What? Are you being serious right now?"

"Yes.. yes I am Jennie. You know my dad. He wouldn't hesitate to kill anyone that threats his reputation. So please... Keep yourself and Jungkook safe."

"Taehyung, I can talk to your dad just fine, its Jungkook we need to worry about!"

"That's the thing Jennie!"

He yells, jennie flinches, not hearing him raise his voice often.

"Fuck, I need to forget him Jen! I-I need to forget this.. this dumb phase! I cant be gay, because of my father, because of the world! God, I cant be with Jungkook!"

He continued, quieter.

"I need to forget he ever existed, but I know it's not possible... I fell in love with him."

Jennie was shocked to hear the actual words come out of Taehyungs mouth. He admitted that he's in love with Jungkook. Taehyung noticed the shock, clearing his throat, he looks up, expression blank.

"The only way to forget the pain is too know he doesnt love me. If he does, I'll do everything in my power to make him hate me. Or forget me. I don't know, I just can't keep him safe."

"Taehyung be reasonable-"

"Stop Jennie. You can go home. If you really want to come back to work next week. But please, dont talk to me."

He walks out, leaving a shocked  Jennie.

What a lovely conversation.
