"That old man is really hard to impress and you even convinced him to sign the project with us. I want to know all the details Ishu, especially the things you spoke about me," Avikam drawled teasingly, his grey eyes staring into mine.

I averted my gaze and noticed the receptionist in the lobby was taking pictures of us. I don't blame her interest in her handsome boss getting cozy with his employee/girlfriend but I still rolled my eyes getting a bit irritated at her and pulled away from Avikam.

"I just mentioned few facts nothing else and don't call me Ishu in our work space," I said and he looked ready to say something but a force landed on my legs making me stumble back into his arms.

He grinned in amusement and gestured behind me. I turned back to see our little angel hugging my legs in tight squeeze. My down mood and negative emotions immediately washed away at the sight of Pari. She looked up at me with her round grey eyes and grinned widely.

"Avipie!" she yelled excitedly.

I chuckled lifting her in my arms, "Hey angel! Miss me?" I asked as she wrapped her arms around my neck and placed a sloppy kiss on my cheek.

"Yes, I missed you a lot. Did you miss me?" she asked me leaning back slightly.

Not waiting for an answer she went on, "We have a new home and it is so big Avipie!" she whispered in amazed tone, "I have a new bedroom like a fort, it means I am princess like you right? Papa told me you are his childhood friend Ishu, the royal princess," she said giggling and I looked at Avikam who simply shrugged.

"I wanted to meet you so much after I saw your painting," she said making me curious. Even for the short time I was at their place I didn't get to see any of his paintings. I am dying to see them especially one about my eyes that mom mentioned to me.

"Do you have a castle like Elsa and Anna?" Pari asked pulling me from my thoughts.

I nodded at her grinning, "I do and I will take you there one day."

She squealed turning towards Avikam abruptly and I had to hold her steady to prevent her from falling.

"She will take me to her castle," she told her father and he ruffled her hair which I noticed was messy like always.

He took her from my arms and held her effortlessly. Leaning forward he pecked my lips unexpectedly and wiped the wet smudges on my cheek swiftly. I looked at him in surprise while Pari covered her face giggling. I didn't say anything to him instead I pulled her hands away from her face.

I should be alone with Avikam to give him the much needed clarification about us.

Snoopy barked getting Pari's attention who squealed in excitement. She wiggled down from Avikam's arms and ran towards the dog. He matched her pace and jumped on her licking her face. Avikam wrapped his hand around my shoulder and turned me to face him. I looked up at him hoping he wouldn't say anything about my health.

"Are you really feeling better now?" he asked studying me closely.

I sighed silently in defeat and prepared myself to lie to him again.

"I told you I am fine," I said nodding further to assure him.

"How often do you get your migraines Ishu? Last night it looked pretty bad. I know one of best neurologist we can consult him and see if there is any serious issue," he suggested in concern.

I looked at his shirt collar to avoid his gaze, "You do remember how protective my parents are right? Do you think they wouldn't have done that already? There isn't anything serious to worry about," I said but he sighed not convinced.
