Christine's POV

Finally it is last period! For some reason I'm getting kind of excited to help Luke after school, it'll be good for both of us. I come into class and sit down, while I'm grabbing my notebook someone comes and puts their hand on my desk. I hear a boy clearing their throat and I look up slowly.

"Hi?" I said to a typical looking boy, attractive, short brown hair, and hazel eyes. The more I look at him the more I find attractive. He smiles, nice big white teeth, my favorite.

"Aye, I'm Austin Davis." He says and smirks. I look around, is this a prank or something.

"Uh uh hi I'm Christine." He looks at me, it kinda creeped me out, but I was flattered.

"Oh I know!" The bell rang and before he went back to his seat he said, "Wait for me after class I have to ask you something."

All period I sat and thought what the heck Austin, I think that's what he said was his name... was going to ask me. The whole class packed up early and Austin sat in the empty chair next to me. I was scared to look or talk to him, I didn't want to do anything stupid or embarrassing. I'm great at humiliating myself. "So Christine," I liked hearing him say that, "I know you're new but I think that you should come to a party I'm throwing at my house on Friday night?" I perk up, I've never really been to a legit party before.

"Oh! That would be, wow, are you sure?"

The bell rings to dismiss us and he stands up, "Yeah, this will give you a chance to mingle around. And why wouldn't I want a hot newbie coming to my place?" My face got red. Did he just call me, Christine, hot? It might have been a bit disrespectful but I didn't care, at that moment at least.

"Ok I'll try to make it!"

He pulled out his phone while we walk in the hall together, "Just enter your number and I'll text you." He smiled and I put my name in number in his contacts of many other people, I felt special and sort of popular.

He told me what kind of party it would be, not too crazy. We walked near the library where I saw Luke waiting there for me, wearing black skinny jeans and a baseball tee. Austin stops and says, "Hey I'll text you later!"

Then he walks off, I must have stood there for a while looking like an idiot because Luke poked my arm, "Hello?" I blink a few times then face Luke. He must have put his snap back on when I wasn't looking, he looked good in it. "So what are you doing talking to Austin Davis?" He asked quickly.

I look up at him, "Oh nothing." I walk in the library, Luke following behind.

"No really, What did he want?" Man he really was interested.

I dropped my bag on a table and he did the same, "Well he invited me to a party on Friday and wanted me to get to know people better."

Luke frowned, "Yeah I'm sure he wants you to get to know other people. More like get you to know him. Physically." I stand there blankly, wow I didn't think of it that way.

"Oh I don't think so. He said it would just be a few people."

Luke laughed mockingly, "Yeah, like Austin Davis always tells the truth. Let's face it Christine," his accent saying my name is much better than Austin, he continues, "He just wants in your pants." Well that just made things awkward.

"Um ok... Let's start our homework, shall we?"

Luke and I actually work on homework. I help him, and he makes me laugh and turn red every once in a while. "Luke listen to me, the answer is A!"

He starts fidgeting with his lip ring, "I don't know... Are you just foolin with me Chris?"

I closed my eyes and let out a sigh, "No I'm not fooling! The answer is A, and stop my name is ChrisTINE." He giggles and looks deeply into my eyes before erasing his previous answer and scratching an A on the answer line. "Now that's much better!" I say and check my phone to see the time, "Wow we've been here an hour!!"

Luke gets his phone out, "Mmm time flies when you're having fun!" We laugh and gather up our stuff. Fun....

We walk out of the library and Luke grabs my arm gently, "Thank you for helping, no one has ever spent that much time trying to help me before. Thanks,"

I smile and feel privileged, "No problem I had fun!"

Luke takes his phone back out of his tight pocket, "Do you think I could have your number?" I just look at his phone before he quickly adds, "Ya know for like homework purposes, like when I need help and stuff..." I laugh and shake my head. I give him my number. The second time today I've handed that out, look at me go. He texted me on the spot so I could get his number, he wanted to witness it I guess. My phone vibrates and I unlock it seeing a message that says, "Poop." I laugh. He smiles, knowing he did the job well.

"Very original message, I like it." I enter his name in a shut off my phone, he must have seen my home screen because he said,

"Who was that in your picture?" I look at my phone and get sad.

I point at the pic, "Oh that's me and my best friend Ashlee, from my old home."

Luke sensed my sadness and said, "Well don't worry, you will see her again!"

I swallow my need to cry, "I know, I just miss her. We've been best friends for 8 years."

He opens his mouth like 'his jaw has dropped', "Well I thought you were like 10!!" He says and smiles at himself.

We start heading outside, "Haha yeah very funny." We laugh and chat a little longer before we reach our vehicles. I point at my car, "Hey do you want your spot back?" I scratch my neck awkwardly.

He shoves his hands in his pockets, "Eh, you can have it, I like the way your car looks in it better anyway."

I smile and throw my junk in, "Ok, thanks! Well I'll see you tomorrow?" He runs to his car and gives me two thumbs up.

I smile the whole way home.
