Jungkook grunts as he zips up his suitcase. The bag is a decent size, fitting enough clothes, shoes and accessories for a week. The bag next to it is stuffed with several business documents that Jungkook believes will be necessary for the upcoming business events.

After finally packing the suitcases, Jungkook stands up straight and brushes the crinkles off his trousers. He sighs as he looks around his room and gives himself a little nod of reassurance when he confirms he has everything he needs for tomorrow.

The brunette then turns to leave his bedroom when his pouty faced brother enters the room with teary eyes. "Hyung," the younger whines, looking close to crying.

Jungkook sighs and picks up the small boy before pecking his cheek. "What's wrong, Seonnie?"

The small boy digs his face into Jungkook's neck and wraps his small arms around the older's neck. "D-Don't want hyung to go tomorrow..." he whines.

Jungkook exhales slowly and then weaves his fingers into the younger's soft hair, gently stroking his head. "I'll be back soon, Seonnie. It's just for a wee-"

"Hyung is always gone now," the boy suddenly cries out. He pulls away from Jungkook and stares at him with his round tear-filled eyes. His pouted lips and rosy cheeks are a heartbreaking sight that makes Jungkook gulp down the guilty lump forming in his throat.

"I-I have a lot of work to do now, you know why right? I have to work so we can eat yummy ice cream and take care of mummy, right?" Jungkook asks, sounding somewhat desperate.

Seonjin shakes his head. "I-I don't want ice cream, j-just wanna play with Hyung again," he whimpers as he cups his older brother's face with his tiny hands.

Jungkook closes his eyes for a moment before opening them and smiling. "But what about mummy, she needs our help, right?"

The younger sniffles before looking away. "Yeah. B-But m-mummy doesn't even k-know me," the boy says while fiddling with the string of his small hoodie.

Jungkook pauses before tightly hugging his brother. "She will soon, Seonnie.  She'll get better. I promise."

Jungkook continues to hug his brother as he watches the snowflakes falling outside, observing how each unique structure shatters and melts away upon contact with the harsh ground. He finds it rather sad, how something so beautiful and innocent can be broken so easily. Almost like a promise.

Jungkook knocks once and then again before the door to Taehyung's apartment opens. Jungkook greets his boss with a small smile that the man returns before stepping aside to let the boy inside.

The smaller trots into the house, still taken aback by how beautiful the interior is, before placing down his small bag onto the floor and spinning around to face his boss. He merely blinks at the man, waiting for him to give instructions.

Taehyung smiles, "good morning, bun. You look awfully cold," he says while gesturing towards the boy's rosy cheeks.

Jungkook nods a little and greets his boss back. "Good morning, sir. I'm just a little cold, the bus doesn't have the best heating system," he chuckles.

Taehyung frowns at that. "You took the bus here?"

Jungkook pauses his laughter and averts his gaze, "uh- y-yeah. Um- anyway, you wanted me to help you pack?"

Taehyung stares at the younger for a moment longer before nodding. "Yes. Come with me," he says before walking off towards a room. Jungkook follows along, curiously admiring the walls and random decorations scattered around the apartment as he does so.
