(3rd person pov)CW/TW: Suicide, suicidal/depressing thoughts
~It was only the second day of Tommy's exile. Dream had stopped by along with Sapnap and Ghostbur, who decided that he wanted to spend more time with Tommy as he realized that the younger boy was now very lonely.
Dream and Sapnap taunted Tommy as he worked to craft materials and things for a tent that he needed to make. They'd make fun of him, and talk about L'Manburg and how well it was now doing without him there. Tommy tried his hardest to purposefully block out their words and make himself numb, because he knew if he didn't he wouldn't be able to move on or get what he needed to done. Tommy knew that if he let himself be sad, he'd just get angry, and nothing good ever came from his anger.
Tommy had gone mining and gotten obsidian, crafting a nether portal and hopping through followed by the other three. Tommy felt a deep hatred for Dream, even more now that he was just here to annoy Tommy.
"Fuck off, would you?" Tommy said to Dream as he mined netherrack.
"I'm just here to make sure you dont go anywhere you're not supposed to go." Dream said.
"I'm not going anywhere, you don't need to babysit me. You've thrown me out, you have no business here anymore." Tommy said, frustration in his tone.
"Tommy, you sound sad, have some more blue." Ghostbur said in his soft tone, handing Tommy blue dye. Tommy didn't really understand Ghostbur's whole giving everyone blue dye thing. Ghostbur said that the 'blue' sucks out all the sad from people when they hold it, or something. Tommy only went along with it because deep down he still cared for Ghostbur, and it made Ghostbur happy for some reason.
"Im not sad, but thanks.. I guess." Tommy said, putting the dye in his pocket.
Tommy continued to mine netherrack. "Dream, is that the portal back to the SMP?" Ghostbur asked after a few moments, pointing towards another portal. Sure enough, it was the main portal that was in the DreamSMP that everyone used to get to the nether. Tommy looked up from what he was doing, realizing what Ghostbur had said.
"Yeah, Im pretty sure." Dream replied.
"I heard Punz built a huge Christmas tree, we should go check it out!" Sapnap suggested, as they all made their way over to the portal.
"Can I come?" Tommy tried, obviously knowing the answer he was going to receive.
Dream laughed. "Of course not. I'll kill you if you do."
"Surely you wouldn't." Tommy stepped forward towards the portal, but Dream stepped in front of him, pushing him back slightly.
"Don't try me Tommy. You're on your last life, remember?" Dream said. Tommy stepped back away from the masked man and the portal.
"Sorry Tommy!" Ghostbur apologized.
"We'll be right back Tommy, stay here." Sapnap said. With his pickaxe in his left hand, Tommy frowned as the other three stepped into the portal and disappeared.
Tommy sighed deeply, he wasn't sure how much more of this he could take. It had only been two days, but he couldn't think of any plans to be able to get back. Dream said he would be exiled till he was 18, and Tommy didn't have the patience to wait that long. Tommy was a social person, he needed people to talk to and bounce off of, and being banished meant he was completely alone. He missed his home in the mountain, the Prime Path, his friends, Tubbo.
Tubbo...
'No no no no.' Tommy thought. He was letting himself think, letting himself feel things again. He tried to push the feelings away, the thoughts of his now ex best friend, but he couldn't. He couldn't ignore it, and now his chest was tightening, and his hands shook beside him.
Tommy didn't know how or when he got there, but suddenly he was standing on the edge of the bridge that lead to the main portal, staring down at the searing hot brightness of the infinite lava below him. The bridge being scuffed, had no railings so stop anyone from falling. He dropped his pickaxe, and it fell to his feet on the hard bridge floor.
Tommy didn't know where to go from here. He had Ghostbur, but after all he was only that: a ghost. He missed his friends; Quackity, Fundy, Ranboo, even Jack Manifold and Sam, everyone. Mostly though, he missed Tubbo.
Tears pricked Tommy's eyes, slipping from them and falling for miles down to the lava. Tubbo. Tommy thought back to the things Tubbo had said only a day ago.
"SHUT UP!"
"You're a liability!"
"The disks don't matter Tommy!!"
Tubbo didn't understand that the disks weren't just disks to Tommy. The disks, the 'one thing he cared about', represented their friendship. All those times they said that they'd never let anything get in between them, that they'd always be there for eachother at the end of the day. Tubbo didn't understand, and to Tommy, Tubbo had said that their friendship didn't even matter to him anymore. Tommy's platonic soulmate, his brother, the one person that Tommy ever truly cared for, hated him.
So, what was there left to live for?
A shittily-made tent? An older brother that was barely a quarter of what he was when he was alive? A green prick that only pushed him around and rubbed salt in his wounds?
"No." Tommy said. "Fuck this shit." Tommy turned around, his back now facing the edge. He didn't want to be here anymore if he was alone, if he had lost his best friend. He could barely handle the mere thought of the shorter brunette anymore.
The blonde dropped all his things to the ground. He looked down at the green bandana that was still tied around his upper left arm that Tubbo had exchanged with Tommy for his red one. The others were still gone, there was nobody to stop him now.
Or so, he thought.
Tommy moved his feet on the edge till the ends of his heels were hanging off, no longer touching the bridge. He closed his eyes, sighing what would be one of his last breaths.
'I deserve this. Nobody wanted me here anyway.'
He felt a calmness wash over him as he let his body fall limp, allowing himself to lean back off the edge, until-
Dream grabbed the boy's shirt with a tight fist about to fall over the edge with Tommy, as the blonde had already almost fallen completely. Sapnap grabbed the armour on Dream's back, holding his ground so the two wouldn't fall.
"TOMMY!" Dream shouted in panic, all of this happening within a few seconds.
"Let go!" Tommy shouted, tears streaming down his pale cheeks. He wanted this, he needed this.
In one swift motion, Tommy pulled one foot up and kicked Dream's chest, causing Dream to lose his grip; Sapnap pulling Dream back and away from the edge.
"WH-" Dream pushed Sapnap away, crawling towards the edge and looking over. Tommy was nowhere to be seen.
He was officially gone, forever.
