As usual his mind left what she was saying and he gazed at the resteraunt across the street, eyes full of longing. His mother put two coins in the machine and picked up the phone.
Minutes passed and she continued to talk on the phone. He sighed impatiently and started to walk across the street absent mindedly.
The boy entered without hesitation and looked around at the place happily. His close friends were there on the stage. Except for one...
He spotted him with a young girl and boy, who stared at him excitedly. Eager to meet his friend, he raced over to them, a smile forming on his face.
"Why hello," he said in a soft voice. "What's your name?" The boy smiled up at him. "My name's Jack...and I know who you are! You're Freddy!"
