"We are so going to be late," Meredith huffed as she was trying to get Elliana's car seat to click into the stroller base.
"Here," he took it from her and locked it into place.
"Have you heard from Amelia and Owen?" Derek asked as he was stuffing the kids carry-on bags into the base of the stroller.
"She said they were at check in waiting on us with CJ's ticket," Meredith grabbed her bag from the car, handing the girls their suitcases to roll along.
"Mama I am hungry," Scarlett groaned.
"You just ate!" Meredith said as she was trying to get everything together.
"But I'm hungry," she pouted.
"If we have time we will stop and grab you something in the airport," Meredith replied.
"We got everything?" Derek asked as he closed the trunk after getting the last of the baggage.
"I think," Meredith double-checked the car for anything before they all walked at a fast pace into the airport. Meredith pushed the stroller that had the twins secured into their seats as she tried to keep up with them. Amelia, Owen, and CJ were all waiting at the bag check-in, CJ had stayed the previous night at their house.
"Let's hope we have enough time to make it to our gate on time," Amelia laughed as she had already check in hers and Owens things.
"We have two babies plus the girls, you guys had CJ which is the easiest out of all our children," Meredith replied as she was placing her bag along side Derek's to be sent to baggage. They put the stroller into a bag and they each grabbed a baby, Meredith taking Elliana and Derek took Elliot. They thought it would be easier just them holding the twins than lugging around the two car seats.
"Hey! I'm easy!" Zoe huffed.
"Yeah, me too!" Scarlett added.
"Yes, and so is the attitude now let go," Meredith said as she began walking toward the gate.
"Dad, will you stop and get me some food?" Scarlett asked Derek as they were walking.
"You girls just ate!" Derek said.
"That's what I said," Meredith agreed.
"But I'm hungry!" She stomped.
"Ok," he sighed, they stopped at one of the shops for her to get a bag of chips and a water.
"I want something!" Zoe said as she grabbed herself a bag as well.
"Ok fine," Derek said, not wanting to be late for the flight. He managed to get his wallet out of his pocket juggling Elliot in his hands. He happily smiled and looked around him. The girls grabbed their stuff and happily hurried with them to the gate just as passengers began boarding.
"Where's Lexie?" Amelia asked as they stood in line waiting to get on the plane.
"Their flight doesn't leave until 4, they took a later flight to fit with the baby's schedule."
"Oh," she said as she handed the flight attendant her ticket. They each got on one at a time, Derek being the last of the group to board. He handed Elliot to Amelia as they got to their seats while he and Owen put the baggage into the overhead bins. The girls sat next to each other with their iPad's. CJ sat in the isle seat, already buckling himself in. Derek took Elliot back from Amelia who sat in one of the two seat rows.
"Here let me take a picture to send to your mom before we take off," Meredith smiled, she took a picture of Derek holding him up to him, both had a smile on their face.
