2 weeks after Barret came back from the hospital.

"Annie, come here!" I heard Barret say from the living room. I ran in, and Barret patted the seat next to her, signaling got me to sit there. I did as she said.

"How would you like to go out tonight? Maybe go bowling, or take a walk in the park, because school starts tomorrow." Barret said, while pushing hair out of my face.

I nodded excitedly. I had been bored for the past few days. "Can we take a walk in the park first?"

"Sure! I'll call Ryan." Barret took out her phone and dialed his number.
"Hey Ryan, do you wanna take a walk in the park with Annie and I?" Barret asked over the phone. I heard the muffled voice of Ryan. Barret nodded and hung up.
"He's gonna come pick us up, since I'm not allowed to drive because of my shoulder. I nodded. I went to go put some clothes on, and so did Barrett.

Katie, Jon, Evan, and I finally got out shopping trip a few days ago. I had got a bunch of new clothes and shoes. I threw on a red shirt and blue jeans, along with my high top black converse. Barrett was wearing a white tank top, with black leggings. She too wore converse.

We watched tv together until we heard the door bell ring.
"I'll get it!" I yelled. I walked over to the door and opened, and there was Ryan with a box of chocolates. I jumped up and gave him a hug, and wrapped my legs around his waist. I hadn't seen him in a few weeks, so I missed him.

"Woah, I missed you too kid. I brought you some chocolate, but don't tell Barrett." Ryan whispered the last part.
"Ryan, you suck at whispering!" Barrett yelled. Both Ryan and I laughed, and I let go of him. He walked in the door and hugged Barrett.

"Alright, can we go now? Pleaseeeee!" I begged. I really wanted to leave.

"Sure Annie. We could go to a restaurant after our walk if you want." Barrett suggested.

"Yes please!!" I replied. I couldn't wait to spend my last day of summer with my favorite people.

We got in the car, and Barrett and I played Uno in the back, while Ryan played Freeze Your Brain, and badly sang along.

"Ryan, you're making my ears BLEED!" I yelled.
"Yeah, please just let us enjoy the song." Barret agreed.
"I'm sorry, I must continue with my performance." Ryan went back to singing horribly, and both Barrett and I groaned. He truly sounded terrible.

We pulled into the parking lot of the park, and I was in awe. People were riding their bikes, while the trees rustled from the wind. The lake was calm, and had people riding their boats. The sunset was beautiful behind the rustling trees. It was honestly magical.

I got out of the car and waited for Barrett and Ryan. They walked up to me, and I grabbed their hands, making it so I was in the middle, Barrett was on the left side, while Ryan was on the right. We began walking, and I saw both Ryan and Barrett smile at each other when I took their hands.

We walked in an extremely comfortable silence. Their presence alone made me feel loved. They made me feel like they were never leaving me, just by standing there. We were just walking near the lake, when I noticed a bike rental.

I ran towards it, letting go of their hands. They chuckled in the background as they jogged towards me.

"Can we please rent them?" I pleaded.
"I don't see why not." Barrett said. She went up to the stand and started paying for them. Ryan was whistling a song from Heathers, and it was the same tune that Barrett was singing when she said she didn't want to watch herself do the deed. I didn't know what she meant by deed, but I didn't want to question.

"Ryan, quit whistling that. I don't want her to get curious and look it up." Barrett said, her back
turned because she was still paying at the stand.

"It's not like she knows the name of it. Blame my head for the song getting stuck in it." Ryan replied.

"Whatever, bikes are ready." Barrett said.

"Yaya! I'm so excited. I learned how to ride a bike last year, but I never got one of my own because my dad wasted his money that he had on drinks."

"Awe, I'm sorry Annie. We could get you a bike for your birthday or something." Barrett offered.

"Really?! You would do that?"

"Of course. You deserve it." Barrett told me. We all three jumped onto the bikes, and started riding towards the path near the lake.

We were now at an Italian restaurant, and I couldn't be happier. Italian was my favorite kind of food. Barrett and Ryan has ordered lasagna, and I had ordered spaghetti and meatballs. So far, I was having a fantastic evening. I rested my head on Barrett's shoulder. Ryan was across from us.

"So Annie, are you having fun?" Ryan asked me.

"Yes! This is one of the best days ever!"

"Really? I'm glad you think so." Barrett joined in.

The waiter brought us our food, and I ate it at amazing speed.

"Don't get me wrong, I love Italian food, but I don't get what's so special about it. I mean, it's just bread, sauce, and cheese cooked in different ways." Ryan said.

Barrett and I waved goodbye to Ryan, and walked into her apartment. I was exhausted from this evening. I flopped onto the couch and groaned, because my legs ached. I heard Barrett laugh, and her take a picture.

"Annie, I have a gift for you from the whole cast." Barrett walked into her room and came back with a small box.

"Thank you!" I said before opening the box.
I tore the wrapping paper off, and gasped. It was an iPhone. I gave Barrett an enormous hug.

"Woah, kid you're strong. You almost knocked me over." We both laughed.

"Thank you again for the present. I love it so much!"

"Yeah, the cast agreed you should have it, since school is starting. Now, go change into your pajamas and brush your teeth." Barrett said.

I nodded and did as she said. I changed into a white t-shirt that had Heather Chandler on the front. I put on some sweat pants, and went to brush my teeth.

After I finished my tasks, Barrett came into my room and sat down at the foot of my bed. We talked for a short time.

"What if my teachers don't like me? What if the students bully me?" I said, starting to get a panic attack.

"Calm down, Annabeth. It's gonna be fine, it's just school." Barrett told me. I was now in a full blown panic attack. I had these often at night, but I didn't ever want to bother Barrett. Tonight was the night I realized that she wanted to help, and that she did care. That thought calmed me down instantly.

"That's right Annie, take a deep breath." Barrett was rubbing my back. She gave me a hug and stood up.

"School is gonna be fun, okay?" Barret reassured me."

"'Mhm, sure." Sarcasm was dripping from my voice.

"If it makes you feel any better, you'll get to come to the theater, and watch the show everyday after school." Barrett tried. She was right. That did make me feel better.

"Alright goodnight, Annie."
"Goodnight, Mama."
Barrett smiled and closed the door behind her.

I really did love my mama.

I decided we should have one last sweet chapter. Enjoy this one, it will be the last sweet one for awhile. Bye!
