Katherine's POV

“So that’s her.” said Aaron. he sounded impressed, almost as though he'd never seen her before.

“I don’t know why you’re so surprised; we practically stalked her on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter everyday from when we heard that Terence was taking someone to the dance.”

I love Aaron, he’s like the brother I’d never had, but it’s not like he’d ever love me back. This isn’t a children’s movie. Aaron is asexual, but he thinks that one day he’ll get into a relationship; he just won’t be “getting it on”.

He's always questioning himself. He has a hunch that he's demisexual. Whatever he is, I'll always accept him, no matter what.

I’m just glad that he agreed to come to the dance with me, otherwise I would have been flying solo and that’s the last thing that I would have wanted.

If Terence wanted to bring a date to the dance, so would I.

“Someone’s a bit catty today.” He said with a smirk. I pushed him lightly. What does he mean "today"? I'm catty most day.

“Well Katherine, I know that you hate to hear this, but she’s beautiful and I think that Terence really cares about her. Maybe you should just give up.”There was zero emotion in his voice.

My heart sank. I could not believe that Aaron did not believe in our love, but was it really love?

Before dad left he told me to never chase a boy.

“If they’re the right boy, they’ll chase you!” he always used to say and in the eight years that I’d know Terence the only time he had ever chased me, was in grade three during break, but that’s what happens when you play “on-on”.

“Listen Cat, what you “have” is not love. I say that you leave the poor boy alone with his girl. He’s not all that and personally, I think that you deserve better.” Aaron always knew what to say to make me feel better. He really had a way with words.

It's a pity that I really don't deserve any better.

“Oh Aaron, you overestimate me.” I said with a sad smile.

He thinks I’m this beautiful and innocent saint, but I’m not. We continued walking, in hand in hand.

I had a date to ruin, surely saints don’t do that?

 Terenece's POV

I'd shown Jasmine off to my friends. She mingled for a while, but then went back to her friends. They seemed to like her, that made me happy. She was a very likable person, so I wasn't surprised.

What did surpise me was went Alec walked up to me. We had never really been close. He gave off bad vibes and try to stay away from bad things. Life is just easier that way.
