“I brought dinner!” you flipped around to see Niall carrying a steaming Tupperware.

“Um what are you doing here?”

“Like I literally just said. I have dinner-wait Y/N are you crying?” you shielded your face and eyes from him.

“No,” you held back.

“Y/N,” he asked walking over to you. You tried to stay calm as he brushed your bangs from your eyes. “You are crying,” he breathed lightly. You looked up at him through hurt eyes. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing. I don’t wanna talk about it,” you said grimly.

“C’mon Y/N. You can tell me.”

“I don’t wanna talk about it.”

“Pleaseeee Y/N-“

“I said I don’t wanna talk about it!” you howled, rage spitting out of your mouth.

“Whoa. I’m sorry. Okay okay,” he said holding his hands up in defense.

“I’m sorry,” you mumbled taking a deep breath, “It’s not your fault.”

“How about we just eat?” he suggested gently. You nodded walking into your bathroom. You saw your tear-stained face mixed in with black mascara marks. Your hair was in knots, and you looked more like a raccoon than a girl. See what this boy did to you? You walked back out with a freshened face, washed and free of the dirty makeup splotches.

“You look um-different,” a boy that’s never seen a girl without makeup before. Real Classy.

“Thanks for basically just calling me ugly you ass,” you retorted walking into the kitchen and grabbing two plates.

“I didn’t mean-“

“Whatever,” you said placing them down on the coffee table between the couches and the tv, “I’m starving.”

“I made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches,” he beamed sarcastically proud. You gave him a look of annoyance and rolled your eyes. But you grabbed one of the sloppy sandwiches anyways.

“So much of a dinner,” you mumbled between savory bites.

“Oh! I have grapes too,” he winked pulling them out and placing them in front of you. You took a handful, placing them on your plate. Munching down on peanut butter and jelly on oat, and the under-sized purple grapes in silence was surprisingly soothing.  “So I heard you listening to our music the other day,” he said randomly. You cringed as you picked out to cokes from the fridge, handing him one. You shrugged.

“It’s okay.”

“Oh come on. It’s better than just okay.” You shrugged again.

“Who do you think has the best voice?” he pointed at himself giving you a wide smile. You shook your head.

“Who Harry? Of course you think-“ you shook your head again.

“Zayn then right?” you shook your head.

“Liam!” he cried. You stared at him, hearing Liam’s aloud for the second time that day was odd. “What?”

“It’s nothing,” you said quietly returning to the last bit of your sandwich.

“You have a crush on Liam!” he accused putting his hand to his mouth in a schoolgirl gasp.

“No!” you yelled a little too angrily. That shut him up. You stayed in silence for a few more minutes before he got up to throw away his plate, taking yours as well. When he returned, you picked up a grape from the big bowl. You aimed it at his coke can, closing one of your eyes, and shot. It soared through the air, launching right into the hole of his can. He smirked.
