“You got your suitcase? Your toothbrush? Your nail stuff-“ she grabbed onto your shoulders gaping into your crazed eyes.

“I’ve got it all. You need to stop worrying Y/N,” Ellie laughed, “But thanks.”

 “You sure now?”

“Yes,” she laughed pulling you in for a hug.

“Have a safe flight,” you whispered into her chestnut hair. Her hair has always been something you’ve been jealous of. The way that it’s always flowing in the right direction. It never gets messed into the tangly ball of doom. And on top of that it’s always super shiny.

“Thank you. See you when you get back. Have fun with Niall,” she gave you one last squeeze before continuing on to the other boys. She stopped at Louis, hesitating with a grin, before she attacked him in a hungry hug.

“Bye Lou,” you heard her whisper. You didn’t hear him say anything because he suddenly dipped her, kissing her lips hard. It caught her off guard. She struggled to keep her balance as Louis heightened the kiss. You and the boys stood awkwardly watching their goodbye snog session all wondering if it had been their first. Minutes later, they pulled away breathlessly.

“Now I really don’t want to leave,” she whined. Louis gave her one last farewell kiss before she left.

“Call me as soon as you land!” you called as she walked out the front door lugging her bulky luggage behind her.

“I will,” she smiled back. After she left, you all sat down on the couch.

“I miss her already,” you spoke softly. Niall brought you into his lap, wrapping his loose arms around your waist in comfort.

“What do you guys want for dinner?” Harry asked.

 “Wanna order pizza?” you suggested.

 “Sounds good,” Zayn replied.

“Do they even deliver pizza out here?” Liam asked. He always just had to anchor down the mood didn’t he? You two had gotten somewhat better. Better than before. It was minimal talking, limited eye contact, with a bit of awkwardness. But it was getting there.

“It’s worth a shot,” Niall shrugged squirming beneath you to pull out his phone.

 “Hi. Is this pizza hut?”

“Great. Um could I order three large pizzas?”

“Oh um one vegetarian, one pepperoni, and one just plain cheese.”

 “Okay. Thanks.”

 “Peter Pan.”

“What?” you asked holding in a burst of laughter. He hung up with a chuckle of his own.

 “What was that all about?”

“I told him my name was Peter Pan,” Niall replied like it was his everyday routine. You giggled placing a wet kiss onto his nose. He crinkled it pulling you back for another kiss. He kissed your lips plenty, strongly moving his lower lip against your upper lip: he dominated the kiss. He pulled you away wanting nothing but more.

“That was as a real kiss,” he whispered.

“El!”

 “Hey Y/N! I just landed!”

 “How was your flight?"

“I slept the whole time, so I wouldn’t know,” typical Ellie you laughed.

“Hey I need to talk you about something,” you said flicking a piece of your hair around in your fingers.

 “Sure. What is it?”

“When did you say I had to be moved out?"

 “September 1 I think.”

“And what day is it today?”

“August 24,” your heart nearly stopped beating. You felt all the muscles in your body tense up. You had a week left with Niall, one week.

“How did the time fly by so fast?”

“I don’t know Y/N. But I gotta go. My bags are here. Sorry. Call me later,” she hung up frantically, leaving you hanging. You swallowed a few times. You shot her a quick text before you glanced at the bathroom door where Niall was showering. The rest of the boys were already sleeping, since they have an early flight tomorrow. They need to be well rested to catch such a long flight all the way back to the UK. You nervously bit the tips of your flimsy fingernails. Your eyes flickered back to the door where Niall was. You had one week left with him. How is that even possible? It’s as if some magical force took all the time from your hands trying to ruin your life. You would have to go back to Rosemount and live the same boring life that you lived before this summer. This summer. This summer was everything. This summer was-

“Hey babe. Whatcha thinkin’ about?” Niall asked shaking out his damp hair with the whisk of a towel.

“Nothing,” you murmured, laying back on the bed. You stared up at the spotless ceiling, your head swarming with thoughts of everything. Niall. You felt the weight change on the bed as he climbed in next to you.

“Are you sure you’re okay?” he asked bringing his muscular arm to wrap around your neck. You grabbed onto his hand, resting your heavy head on his bare chest.

“Perfectly fine,” you whispered one of the biggest lies you’ve ever told.

One week.
