Ever since their conversation in the hospital, Stevie was cold and very non-talkative because she did not like anything that Lindsey had to say to her. She didn't say much on the way home and she had stopped asking after Gwen since he made it very clear that her daughter had a reason to be angry, even if she believed otherwise, she was at the point of keeping her mouth shut when her head was spinning from anger or opposite opinions.

Lindsey was guiding Stevie through the front door, only leading her to the couch since he believed she did not want to just transfer to another bed after being in the hospital for two nights.

"Is there anything I can get you?" he wondered gently.

She shook her head, removing his hand from her side so that she could make her way on her own.

He showed mercy by not saying a word and he let her be, though he stood close if she needed him, he could help. "Well, let me know..." he sighed.

So far, he was the only man to speak to her or perhaps speak up in a delicate situation regarding her lifestyle, realtions and daughter; he knew she was upset---believing him out of place to talk to her in any such way, but he knew it had to be done because nobody had ever talked to her in a harsh way. Nobody ever told her she was wrong when she was and he knew that was her problem at the moment.

"You're gonna have to eat eventually," he mentioned, knowing he'd said it before. "Let me at least get you some tea before I leave, okay?"

"Fine," she took a seat on the couch and she sniffled since the cold weather made her nose run. Taking her coat off and draping it along the arm of the couch, she reached for the furry throw blanket on his couch and she wrapped it around herself as if it were a shawl. She shivered lightly and took in her surroundings, trying to figure out what she might do with herself since she was placed on bed rest for the next two weeks.

The doctor told the couple that two weeks of bed rest would be the best thing for the baby and luckily for Lindsey, that would keep her from leaving, earning him time to get her resettled and less panicked about her parents.

When Lindsey returned from getting her a chamomile tea, he noticed she already had General Hospital on to watch.

"Where are you going?" she wondered, grasping the mug between her hands, looking up at him with a slight glimmer of anxiety in her brown doe eyes.

"I'm going to run to the store and get Gwen since there was a change in plans. His brother is going out of town to see some family and he forgot to go to the bank and put the rent in and Gwen just wanted to come home for now. Bobby will be here later, if that's okay with you..."

"It's your house, I don't care..." she looked ahead to see Sonny Corinthos, mostly giving the screen attention as he was her favorite character on the show.

"Are you going to be okay?" he wondered.

She shrugged, "Doesn't look like I'll be doing anything for the next two weeks, so I guess I'll have to be fine right here..."

"You're very morbid."

She had to roll her eyes and they landed back on the televison.

He had to give a subtle smirk and then he sat next to her. "I love you."

"Do you?" she cocked a brow when he took her hand.

"Yes. With all my heart... Don't be upset with me for telling you the truth. I tell you the truth because I love you, not because I don't."

"Just bring my daughter back home."

"Yes, ma'am," he stood up and grabbed his jacket again.

"Don't call me ma'am ever again. I sound like I'm an elderly woman and I am not my mother."
