"Is it cool if I stay the night?" she sniffled.
"Yeah, my parents don't mind. They see something is obviously wrong," Donna assured. "So, what happened?"
"Everybody just kept everything from me. My dad died three weeks ago; Mindy must have known, my mom knew, Lindsey had to have known if she's been with my mom and last minute, Derek just told me he knew. Nobody told me when I had the right to know first. I think it's all bullshit. And then I get to Lindsey's house after digesting a thing like this only to find out that he was lying about being in a relationship with my mom. She was there when I got there," she slammed her hand into her head, just wanting to cry some more about it.
"I'm really sorry, Gwen, this day just didn't seem to be going well. But things will get better," she assured. "You're more than welcome to stay as long as you want, but I do think you should stay in contact with your mom or Lindsey. They may have messed up, but they do care what happens with you."
She nodded. "I could care less about everybody right now. I just don't want them to find me... Does Lindsey know where you live?"
"He does, but with the way things are going, I doubt he'd give that sort of info to your mom."
"I really don't want to chance it... Can um," she paused and shook her head.
"What's up?"
"I just thought of Bobby as the next place to go," she pulled herself away from that thought. "I don't want anybody to find me... At least if Lindsey does stop by, you could say I left and you didn't know where I went."
She gave a sympathy filled curl to her lips only because she wasn't sure if she could lie to Lindsey about something so intricate. "He's more than likely up... Maybe," she shrugged. "You wanna call him?"
"Just in case. I don't want to bombard your parents, but I did want to talk to somebody. As of now, you are about the only person I feel I can trust."
"I'm sorry you feel that way," she reached over for the phone and she dialed her friend's number.
"Hello?" a male answered.
"Hey, it's Donna. Is Bobby around?"
"Yeah, give me a sec."
She could hear the phone being tossed around the room and it made her smirk.
"Yeah?"
"It's me, I have a favor," she chewed on her thumb nail.
"What's up?"
"Do you remember my friend, Gwen?"
"Oh, yeah... She was hot. What about her?"
"She's got a boyfriend, don't be an idiot."
Gwen kind of smirked to herself and she pulled on the reciever a tad, "Not as of this moment," she assured loudly.
"Shut up," Donna laughed and pulled the phone back. "Anyway, she's having some problems and she doesn't want to be found. Lindsey knows where I live and there's a chance he might look for her here. Would it be okay if she stayed the night at your place on the down low?"
"I don't mind at all," he assured with a prominent, handsome grin filling his face. "After all, the lady is single for the evening. I don't mind a date at all... Just let me kick everybody out."
Donna then nodded in confirmation with a smile and a thumbs up.
"Thanks, Bobby, I owe you," Gwen assured sweetly.
"No problem, just looking out. When should I expect her?"
"Another half hour, give or take," she glanced down at her watch, trying to estimate her time wisely.
