Chapter 14 - Starlit Night

"M'lady is this what you wanted?" Jisoo asked and Jennie nodded quite eagerly like a 4 year old child getting ice cream.

"The stars are beautiful Jichu!" Jennie said and Jisoo chuckled at the other girl. "Also why did you brought paper, pen and bottles?" Jennie asked while Jisoo continues writing.

"I heard from the townsfolk that wishes would come true if you write it on a paper and let it float towards the sea." Jisoo said as she finishes her wish and placed it inside the bottle.

Jisoo slowly placed the glass bottle on the water and gave it a push so it would start to move forward and it did.

"Does M'lady want to try?" Jisoo asked handing Jennie paper. "I don't want to try." Jennie said as she continued looking at the stars.

"I prepared a blanket for you M'lady." Jisoo said as she placed the blanket onto the sand for Jennie to lay down.

"Thanks Jisoo you're always prepared aren't you." Jennie said showcasing her gummy smile. "Being prepared is a requirement on being a servant." Jisoo stated remembering all the lessons Moonbyul gave her while she was still there.

"The stars are beautiful isn't it Jichu." Jennie said patting the side of the blanket signaling Jisoo to lay down with her. "It sure is Jendeuk." Jisoo said as she motioned towards her to lay down.

"So what did you wish for?" Jennie asked raising a brow as she looked at Jisoo. "I wish for M'lady to get taller." Jisoo joked but she said it in a serious tone. "Hey! We're same height ok and I'm not that short." Jennie pouted at her and Jisoo laughed.

Jisoo lifted herself up and looked at Jennie. "I was just kidding M'lady." She said. "Then what did you wrote?" Jennie asked again. "I wish for M'lady to be happy for eternity." Jisoo said brushing off a hair strand that was on Jennie's face.

"Yah! I'm already happy when I'm wit you Jichuyah~" Jennie said in a baby voice. "And I can't live forever you know." She added. "I know. I just want you to be happy every second of your life." Jisoo said as she stood up.

"Say.......why do you always think about me?" Jennie asked noticing how Jisoo has always put Jennie first before herself. "Because your the person living in my head without even trying to." Jisoo said sweetly as she gave a hand to her sister. "You also live inside my heart Jen." Jisoo thought to herself.

"Why did you suddenly got all cheesy of a sudden." Jennie said as she laughed at Jisoo's reply. "Oh no maybe Mom Byul-yi's greasiness affected me." Jisoo said  as she pretended to be shocked.

"I love you Jendeuk." Jisoo murmured in a low tone hoping not to let Jennie hear.

Jennie was still mesmerized by the stars and Jisoo just stood there looking. "Be careful what you say Jisoo. Words just come out unexpectedly especially on a starlit night." Jisoo thought to herself as loving her own sister would be not good at all. "In another world I would be........your....nevermind." Jisoo said in her head knowing Jennie would only love her as a sister.

"M'lady it's almost bed time." Jisoo stated. "Jisoo I don't need curfew." Jennie said still looking at the stars. "If you wish to stay here M'lady then." Jisoo said as she took off her coat and gave it to Jennie. "You might catch a cold." Jisoo continued and Jennie gave in.

"Fine let's go." Jennie said as Jisoo accompanied her back to the palace.

Jisoo POV

"What in the world is wrong with me. I don't want incest to happen here." I thought as I wanted my personal feelings for Jennie to go away.

The both of us where on our way to Jennie's bedroom and as she was about to go in she said. "Can you stay with me for awhile." And the only thing I could do was nod.

Jennie was taking a short shower before wearing her pajamas meanwhile I was looking outside the window to see our pet birds suddenly approach me.

"Oh hey little one's." I said looking at the two before one flew away. "Well that was rude." I told myself but I really didn't mind.

Jennie got out from the bathroom and wore pink pajamas before giving me the coat I gave her awhile ago. "I'll get going now M'lady." I said and Jennie didn't say anything.

She grabbed one of my hand and said something in a low voice. "Can you sing me to sleep." That was what she said if I wasn't mistaken. I sighed and went back to her and she quickly grabbed a keyboard.

"Guess I wasn't wrong." I taught to myself before I started to think of a song as I took the keyboard.

"Good night" That was the song that popped in my head. I used to remember that when I had problems sleeping Yongsun and Moonbyul would always sing it to me. She even asked Wheein and Hwasa their friends to come to just sing it to me. It was a comforting and pleasant song that I thought of playing it for Jennie.

I played and Jennie slowly became sleepy. The sound of nature outside made it more natural and I thank them for that. I remembered the time were my mothers would always sing this to me everytime I had a nightmare.

A tear left my eye at the end of the song but luckily Jennie didn't notice. "I miss you Eomma, Mom." I thought before putting away the keyboard and sat on a chair that I placed infront of her bed. I replayed the song I just played and just stared at Jennie.

Raindrops started to fall and I close the windows and covered it with the curtains. I saw Jennie shivering a bit so I covered her with the blanket that wasn't really covering her completely.

She felt better and I sighed in relief. I stared at her more and held her hand. I could feel her warmth just thru her hands and they were soft too.

I can hear her mumble inaudible words so I comforted her by caressing her face. Just as what the lyrics say. I would probably stay in her room just trying to make sure she'll sleep properly.

It was already midnight and atleast there were still no signs of discomfort. I stayed awake for another hour as dawn approached. "Sleep tight Jendeuk." I told her in my head before I tried to keep myself awake.

It was already 3 AM and the room started to get awfully dark and she shivered from the cold. I grabbed more blankets and placed it on her.

"They must have did this to me in the past."

Should I do Rosé POV next chapter or just stick with 3rd POV?
