Chapter 22 - Execution

A week has pass and an army coming from the kingdom of the green practically barged in Jennie's kingdom. The guards were too tired to defend the castle and many of the people that were working at the palace already left.

A revolution practically started and Alice killed every guard standing their way. She let the ones that ran away run since clearly they choose to live.

Lisa wore a mask as she looked at the guards defending the castle hopelessly. "I'll bring back your head with me Jesoon." Lisa said in  her head as they went to the palace.

They went in with a group of 4 people. Her, Alice and two knights. They slammed the door open and ran together as they went to find the queen.

After minutes which seemed like hours they finally found her. The queen was standing outside the balcony as she looked at the sky. "That assh*le!" Lisa thought in rage as she pointed her sword to Jennie.

Jennie turned around and saw the  sword pointed at her. "Queen Jesoon you are now sentence to death in crime of massacre." One of the knights said.

"Devil! A demon in the fless! You will pay for your crimes!" Lisa shouted in frustration. "Barbarians." Jennie said in disgust as the two knights grabbed her arms. They finally captured the queen and Lisa's people are now going to be avenged.

As they headed outside the palace they didn't realized that Jennie was smiling quite softly as if she was expecting it.

She was locked inside a cell and the group went outside to prepare the execution. Handcuffs were on the queen's hand and escaping is practically impossible.

She looked out at the area that gave light in the room as she was probably thinking. "I guess this is the end." She thought before sighing as she looked at her necklace she hid.

The smell of smoke was obvious and Jennie heard a loud sound on the ground. They probably already prepared for the guillotine as Lisa and Alice came back to the cell.

"I don't care if we used to be friends. I will avenged my people." Lisa said quite sternly as she ordered Alice to take Jennie.

The people were shouting and booing at her as Jennie walked towards the guillotine. There was a black hood visible from the queen's line if sight.

Lisa said a few words before finally stating. "The queen shall now face execution!" And the crowd practically cheered.

The queen looked back at the girl with a black hood again and her memories started to reply.

"Jichu we're gonna be together forever right?" "Of course Jendeuk"

"Jendeuk look at this flower crown!"

"Did you like your present Jen?" "I love it and make sure you wear mine ok?" "Of course Jennie"

"Jisoo!" "Jendeuk!"

"I'm back M'lady." "Jisoo...."

"You wore the ring!" "I promised you."

"I wish for M'lady to grow taller." "Yah! You're short too!" "Hahaha"

"I don't mind being a servant if I work for you." "Are you really ok with it?" "Yes"

The queen's memory flash as the last thing she saw was her sister in a hood giving her a smile.

The queen also gave a smile to the  hooded girl.

"I'm glad I got to protect you....Jendeuk."

Jisoo POV

"They arrived......" I thought as I sighed looking at Nini flying away with my message to Jennie. I looked exactly like the my sister now since I just used the same make-up as her.

Door slams were heard every now and then and I looked up. "Sorry eomma...mom...but....did I made you guys proud?" I said to myself before a loud slam was heard.

"Acting time" I told myself. They were practically looking at me with hate and despise and I could see it in Lisa's eyes that she hated me from every inch of my body.

"Devil! A demon in the flesh!" They said and it just wanted me to punch them. "They're calling Jennie a demon?.........by my blood I'm practically the same." I thought to myself as my life was about to end.

They locked me up in a cell and my life started to play in my head like a short film.

Once upon a time twins were born in a very grand kingdom. They got separated at a very young age and lived their lives quite differently. A few years later they came back together. Sitting a top the kingdom and smiling with grace. Was the sister that I loved and who now I take the place.

Lisa came back and ordered another person to take me.

The guillotine was already prepared and I see that many people were actually looking forward to my sister's suppose to be execution.

"My sister still hasn't enjoyed life like I wanted her to so take my life instead." I thought to the gods who were probably watching in amusement.

I saw a familiar black hood and immediately realized who it was. "Jen what are you doing here?" I thought to myself mentally sighing.

I looked at her once again to see that she got my note. I gave a small smile that wasn't at all noticable.

As much as I want to be alive right now I'd rather not if I know I could still protect Jennie. I didn't mind death at all. To be honest I actually thought that the afterlife would be nice but that's what they all say.

Flashbacks of my memories flooded within me and I surely know that my mothers aren't going to be happy but I doubt that they still will if they know that I failed to protect my sister.

This was fine though. This was my decision. Jennie stood there on the verge of tears which is probably the last thing I'd want to see when I'm about to die.

Just as when my head was about to be cutted off I saw the gummy smile I wanted to protect from Jennie. The smile that I wanted her to keep on smiling for as long as she lives. With that on thought I smiled as my heart-shaped lips formed before I got beheaded.

"I can die in peace now."

"Long time no see Jisoo."
