Chapter 19 - A turn of events

The ball ended and everyone gave their farewells. "So are you two a thing now Lis?" Jisoo asked as Lisa was behind her about to thank her about the advice. "I don't know." That was all Lisa could say. "Let's change topic now shall we?" Jisoo said faking a smile as she was hiding her pain.

"How long are you gonna stay here?" Jisoo asked. "About 1 week more." Lisa replied. "I want to explore the town more." She added and Jisoo hummed.

"Seems like the party is ending." Jisoo said as she looked back. "See you around then?" Lisa said awkwardly as Jisoo laughed. "I'm glad I got to be your friend Lady Lalisa." Jisoo replied as she went in for a hug. "Me too Jisoo." Lisa said in between their hug.

Everyone left and the people that were left in the palace were maids, servants and the twins.

"Jisoo?" Jennie said as Jisoo raised her brow. "Yes M'lady." Jisoo simply replied. "Call the minister of arms." Jennie said and Jisoo can only obey. "What do you intend M'lady?" Jisoo thought to herself before dialing Mr. Park. The minister of arms in their kingdom.

"Hello Mr. Park speaking." The caller said. "Greetings Mr. Park I am Kim Jisoo her majesty's personal servant. She would like to talk to you this evening." Jisoo said as the caller agreed.

Jisoo went back to Jennie and told her that Mr. Park would be coming soon so Jisoo was excused. "Burn." That was the only thing in Jennie's head right now as the intent of killing the people in the kingdom Rosé lives in grew bigger.

Moments later the minister came and they had a 'nice' chat with Jennie.

"Your majesty you can't do that!" Mr. Park said a bit shocked at her request. "It's either you listen to me or say goodbye to your position and family." Jennie said quite coldly as she gave a death glare to the other person.

Mr. Park hesitated in replying but knowing that his family would come to a price he just couldn't. "I understood your majesty." The only thing that the man could say. He left without saying another word. "Try and betray me Mr. Park. I have eyes watching every single move you do." Jennie said warning the other man about betrayal.

Jisoo was listening outside the door before she left the moment she could hear footsteps nearing. "Jennie......just what happened to you?" Jisoo asked herself as she was in pain after hearing what Jennie wanted to do to the kingdom both her friends live in.

Mr. Park called in his men and they quickly went to the kingdom her majesty wanted to burn.

"Remember leave no one behind!" Mr. Park manage to shout to his men but in pain. "Yes sir!" His men shouted.

It took hours to arrive at the kingdom and when they did some men started to blow up the place. Screams of the citizens were heard.

Houses were burning and Mr. Park and his men started to kill everyone in the kingdom. Those who escaped were lucky. Mr. Park encountered a girl with pure black eyes which suddenly remembered him of his 9 year old daughter.

He left the girl alone and started to kill other people. The girl was left in shock and confusion but nonetheless she ran and ran as far as she could ran.

"No please! Don't kill me!" "Have mercy!" "Don't hurt my child!" "Run!" Screams of the people were echoing across the kingdom. "I have eyes watching every single move you do." The words linger in the minister's head worried the fate of his family if he decided betreyal.

After the massive massacre blood, fire, ashes and corpses was seen in the kingdom. The men were tired and they left the kingdom. Though there were some that still escaped and were still alive they did a number on them still.

The screams of the innocent people at the kingdom echoed thru the minister's head as guilt started to rule over him. "Atleast my family is safe." He thought and his family was safe. Jennie had been watching from afar using a telescope.

Jennie took a sip of her wine as she watched the other kingdom burn. "Rosé.....I'm comming for you next." Jennie thought as a smirk formed in her face. 

Jennie finished her drink and thought for a while. "If I can't have you then no one can." Jennie thought as her eyes showcased pure bloodlust.

She wasn't aware that Jisoo was silently looking at her. "Jen......." Jisoo looked at her sister at the peek of the door before she went outside and sighed.

"Eomma....mom....I didn't expect this turn of events to occur." Jisoo thought as she looked up at the empty sky.

Jisoo suddenly thought. "Jennie probably killed your real mother." And Jisoo could only sigh knowing how possible it could be. 15 years of being apart and 15 years of not seeing each others presence affected the two so much.

Jisoo looked at the ring Jennie gave her and thought. "Did it all went wrong the moment we got separated?" Most likely.

While Jisoo was living in a comfy and happy life outside the kingdom Jennie was living a burdensome and stressful one despite having all luxury anyone could imagine.

"Miss Jisoo." A person said behind her. Jisoo looked at her and saw a fellow maid that also worked here. "Queen Jennie would like to talk to you." She said before leaving and Jisoo took in a deep breath before exhaling it.

Jisoo went in Jennie's room looking a bit tipsy but that's probably not the case. Jisoo knew Jennie's alcohol tolerance is as high as hers.

"M'lady do you need something?" Jisoo said quite plainly as she took Jennie's glass and refilled it. "Yes actually." Jennie said. "And what is that?" Jisoo asked and at that moment she regretted even asking.

"I want you to kill Park Chaeyoung." The words Jennie said left Jisoo in shock and fear at the same time. Jisoo couldn't reply or fight back knowing that she was just a mere servant. "Yes my queen." The only words that left Jisoo's mouth before she left the room and ran to hers.

"I want you to kill Park Chaeyoung." The words linger in Jisoo's head as her heart started to beat ever so slowly. Jisoo didn't cry even though she was awfully hurt by the words. "If it's for M'lady then.......I'll do it." Jisoo said as her heart turned cold and her eyes looked dull.

"Oh Jisoo......you're always like this...........picking Jennie over everything else." A person thought after witnessing Jisoo's decision.

"Your selflessness is your biggest downfall."
