Chapter 20 - Empty Heart

The next day

Jisoo didn't bother to see anyone today as she was preparing for her assassination. She still didn't know exactly why and how Jennie became like this but she would gladly take the blame.

Jennie was in her room as always and Lisa still didn't knew what happened in her kingdom. She'd probably get the news after the next two days.

Chaeyoung looking at the sky as she was waiting for Lisa. She was unconsciously touching the part of her lips that Lisa gave a peck to. She realized her actions and blushed. "Silly Chae....you like Lisa too." She said to herself before turning around after feeling a presence.

"Hello!" Lisa said smiling as she gave a kiss on the cheek to Chaeyoung. "Hey Lisa. Shall we go?" Rosé said before noticing that Lisa was holding something behind her back. "I got you flowers! Roses for my Rosé." Lisa said as she gave Chaeyoung a bouquets of red roses.

Chaeyoung was touched by her actions as she blushed. "Thanks Lis." She said before finding a vace and filled it up with water as she put the roses in it.

Meanwhile with Jisoo. She was looking out the window sharpening a knife. Her eyes were still dull and her words were emotionless. Not like what she used to as you can atleast hear a hint of concern or confussion in her words.

Knocks were heard in Jisoo's door so she quickly hid the knife and answered. "It's open." She said plainly. "Jisoo her majesty would like to speak with you." The person said and Jisoo just went there not saying a single word.

"Does M'lady wish to speak with me?" Jisoo asked her sister sitting on her throne while their pet birds chirp. "Ah Jisoo I was looking for you." Jennie said as she got off the throne and went to her.

"Let's go to the garden." Jennie said with her gummy smile and Jisoo could feel her heart slowly starting to feel warm. "What M'lady wants what M'lady needs." Jisoo said as the twins head to the garden.

Lisa and Chaeyoung however just ended their date and the two went back to their separate places. Lisa gave Chaeyoung some privacy since she needed it and so did Lisa.

Their date was filled with laugher and bright smiles and Rosé forgot about what she felt towards Jisoo. "I guess I felt admiration towards Jisoo." Rosé told herself as she looked back at her necklace and plopped herself onto the bed a slept.

Jisoo and Jennie went to the garden and Jisoo simply just stared at the flowers while Jennie was doing who knows what since Jisoo wasn't bother to look.

"Jisoo look!" Jennie said holding something and Jisoo turned around. "A flower crown?" Jisoo asked and Jennie nodded as she made Jisoo wear it. "I wanted to recreate our childhood." Jennie said and Jisoo's eyes didn't seemed soulless anymore just dull.

"Is that so." Jisoo can only mutter a few words knowing that she has to kill someone later on. Jennie leaned on Jisoo's shoulder as the two admired the plants.

Just before night fell Jisoo asked Jennie if she could borrow one of the birds and of course Jennie agreed. She gave Jisoo chuchu and Jisoo started to write something.

"Greetings to Park Chaeyoung"
"I would like to meet you later tonight at exactly 10 PM at the abandoned park." "I know it's a ridiculous request but I want to talk to you privately and please do make sure you are alone." "I'll be expecting you."

"From: Anonymous."

Jisoo wrote on the paper trying to not make it recognizable. She rolled up the paper and placed it in the little compartment attached to Chuchu's feet. She opened the window and let Chuchu fly to its destination and luckily for Jisoo the bird already knows who to send the message to.
