Rivera put an arm around my waist as we came to the stairs that lead up to the hotel we were staying at. Rivera said that whenever he comes to the city this is the hotel he stays at since it was so close to the building he worked at.
I peeled his hand from around my hip. "I think I can walk up some stairs." I grumbled pushing him away and just as if the universe was out to get me, proving me wrong I tripped up the first step. Rivera caught me before ate ground, raising his eyebrow at me he smirked. I rolled my eyes. "That usually doesn't happen."
"I'm going to go s-." Marcus tried saying but Rivera cut him off. "Everybody is going to get some sleep and then in the morning you can go see whatever you want."
Marcus grumbled. "Okay fine." He said yawning which made me yawn and made Rivera yawn even though he tried to hide his yawn. "In the morning I'm going to go see that one museum that has all the cool things in it."
"Mkay..." Rivera said as we came up to the front desk. "Reservations for Rivera, please."
I looked at him and his arm that was still around my waist, removing it and stepping away just a bit. The lady behind the desk nodded. "Yes, sir. I have you right here." She typed something into the computer then turned around to grab keys from the rooms, except they weren't keys they were cards that unlocked the rooms.
She handed them to Rivera who smiled and nodded turning to look for the elevators. He shoved the cards into his pocket and we all went up to the sixteenth floor of the hotel to find our rooms.
"Felix is going with you tomorrow, Marc." He said pulling out the keycards and looking for something. Marcus blew out a breath. "As much as I like Felix I do not need a babysitter."
I chuckled.
"Yes but I have things to do and he's..." He felt around in his pocket and I started to wonder what he was looking for.
"A distraction."
They both looked at me, Ben opened his mouth to say something then his eyes slowly moved over to Marcus narrowing his gaze. "I don't want him going out alone and... I'm not leaving him here all alone."
"What are you looking for?" I asked changing the subject.
"Fine." Marcus said. Rivera looked at me. "I could've sworn I reserved three room but I only got two keycards." He held up the cards. Marcus shrugged and plucked a card from his uncles hand. "I call this one."
"Wait." He said but Marcus already disappeared into the room. I sucked in a breath. "Um well..."
"I'll go back down and get the other one." He said sighing frustratedly. I took the card from him and opened the door, looking inside. "This room has two beds." I looked at him. He continued down the hallway. "Still I-."
"Ben- er Rivera." I blushed. He turned around and looked me up and down quickly. "What did you just call me?" He smirked. I shook my head. "Nothing... but look." I gestured to the room.
"I believe you just called me by my first name."
I walked into the room, ignoring him. He followed behind me. I shuddered as the door closed. At least it won't be as awkward as sharing a bed at Novikov's.
"Felix." He said teasingly.
"At least we don't have to share a bed." I said trying to change the topic but I only made it more awkward. I looked up at him, he was chuckling. "At least."
I walked over to the glass doors leading out to the balcony. "Wow." We said in unison. I looked up at him, he had come over to stand by my side. "Are you sure you'll be okay to out with Marcus tomorrow? Sorry I... kind of volunteered you."
