"Ben!" I looked around the corner into the living room. I saw our front door was left open a cold chill coming from it. "Ben?" I peaked my head outside. I turned around and jumped when I saw the wrong Rivera was standing behind me. "What're you doing here?"
"It a shame you didn't invite me." He said looking around. I swallowed thickly and took a step back through the threshold of the front door. "Go away! You ruin everything! You make Ben think he's the reason every one he's ever loved is dead! You don't deserve him or the money or anything else. Your ba- bad people."
"He is the reason. We should've killed him in the beginning."
"No." I gritted my teeth and ran at him.
I gasped and sat up, Ben was sitting beside me holding his side. "What was that for?" His eyebrows were furrowed. I rubbed my eyes. "Ah, sorry. I had... a dream, a nightmare actually. I guess I head butted the wrong brother."
"The wrong bro- wait what?"
I nestled into his side, headache on full blast. "He was there and... you weren't." I muttered my cheek squishing against his ribs. He put an arm over me and sighed. "What's with all these nightmares lately?"
"I don't know, but I half to go get a cup of water my head is killing me." I tried pushing against him but he wouldn't let me up. "Ben,"
"Hmm?" I could hear the smile in his voice. I rolled my eyes. "If you don't let me up I will throw up on you."
"Fine, okay okay." He lifted his arm off of me and I got up going to the kitchen to get a glass of water. I leaned against the counter thinking about last night.
What the hell happened?
Memories came back in bits and pieces after the headache subsided a little. Did Ben kiss someone else that wasn't me? If so why? Am I... does he...
I stormed into the bedroom again and Ben looked up from a book he started reading. "Why'd you kiss that guy? Do you no longer wa-."
"Woah settle down." He jumped up. I shook my head. "No, no I get it."
"Let me explain please, or let me tell you what happened because it's nothing what you think it was, please."
"You don't need to. I'm not good enough for you anymore and I should just leave. You never wanted me here in the first place. You're just playing with my feelings. You've probably been seeing him all along." I was pacing, looking at the ground. "Why'd I think this was any different from what I had with Vanessa? Why would I be allowed anything good?"
He stopped my pacing with both his hands on my shoulders. I tried to turn away but he pulled me into a hug. My tears wetting his shirt immediately. "Conejito... I wa-."
"Don't call me that." I pushed his chest but his grip held strong. "Fucking let-."
"Calm down, please. Felix, I was never cheating on you."
"I went through this with my ex, I know how it goes. I thought you loved m-."
"I do, Felix. I do love you." He held my chin in his hands. "He was insulting you and saying I shouldn't be with you so I got a little aggressive and took a hold of his collar. I know I shouldn't have but the alcohol... and that's when he saw you and pulled my in by the waits and kissed me. He kissed me! Not the other way around. I'm so sorry, Felix. I really am and I'll do anything to prove how sorry I am."
I stared up at him and my tense body relaxed. The saddened look in his face made me want to cry for real. I reached up to his face with one hand and rubbed my thumb across his cheek. He let go of me and sat on the bed with a sigh, rubbing his eyes. "I shouldn't have been talking to him... I just..."
"I believe you and I'm sorry." I realized how paranoid I sounded. I tipped his head back with my pointer finger under his chin and kissed him gently but long. He kissed me back placing his hands on my hips. "I'd never hurt you intentionally like that... ever." He said in a soft voice. I nodded. "I know, I'm... I guess I'm just rattled from the nightmare and probably the alcohol too. I'm sorry for accusing you of cheating on me. I love y-."
We both turned our head as there was a loud clattering like glass breaking in the kitchen. Ben rolled his eyes and blew a breath out through his mouth. "I swear to god, those two need to learn how to knock." He got up carefully pushing me back. I chuckled. "You go I have to pull myself together a little bit more."
He smiled and nodded going out into the kitchen.
I went into our bathroom to try and find Tylenol or something like it but I couldn't remember where we put it and ended up making the bathroom a mess. I opened the mirror cabinet searching around in there then heard footsteps behind me. They were heavier then barefooted one but Ben had a wired thing that he couldn't be barefoot for too long and he didn't like flip flops or sandals for some reason.
"Do you know where the ibuprofen is? I thought we put it back in the bathroom somewhere." I shut the cabinet and went to turn around someone's face who was not Ben's caught my eye. He smirked evilly. "Hello, Felix. Nice to see you."
I closed my eyes. "Wake up, wake up." I muttered to myself. He scoffed. "Still having nightmares about me? Sorry, ratito pero sometimes dreams are better than reality."
I back myself into the wall behind me. "What do you want?"
"Para matar a mi hermano but I need something from him first. You're just collateral but don't blame me. My brother is the one who falls in love all to easy." He snapped and two big muscled men came into the bathroom. I looked for something to defend myself with but got nothing. One of the men had both my wrist in one of his hands and was pushing my feet out from behind me to move me forward.
"You're hurting me." I tried pulling away but he yanked me back into place and kicked the back of my knees sending me to the floor with a thud. I looked at Ben who was thrashing against his captors. "No, Valentino, leave Felix alone. He has no part in what I did."
"Oh but hermanito it's not a party with just the two of us. Well... of course father will be there but I think we can have more fun with the three of us." He said tauntingly. I growled. "You bastard."
A stinging heat came to my face after he slapped me without warning. In that moment I realized that the slap that Ben gave me when we first met was not the hardest he could've done because Valentino's lasted. I tasted the coppery flavor of blood in my mouth and glared at him. I could hear Ben trying to get loose again. He bent over me so he could intimidate me and glare into my eyes. "You may want to shut your mouth before I shut it for you."
I felt my nose flare but kept my mouth shut.
"Out." He said pointing to the door and his minions yanked both of us up and pulled or pushed us out the door. Ben was pushed in the door of a black sleek looking SUV and I was brought to the other side and pushed in, hitting my shins against the opening of the car door and fell in face first. Nobody bothered to help me up and my hands had been zip tied behind my back.
Valentino stepped on me to get inside the car and sit next to Ben.
"I'm warning you, let. Felix. go." Ben grumbled.
"The tablet." Valentino said ignoring Ben. He sat back in his seat. "Do we have the stuff?"
"Yes, sir." Someone in the front seat said. Valentino hummed with satisfaction. "Alright, well now we're going to take a nap."
"Wh-?" I tried to lift my head then felt a pinch in my arm.
