Chapter 49

Yesterday marked SITA's 7th month here in Wattpad. Until now, I am still in daze whenever I think about how far I've reached. I still couldn't believe that I was able to get this far and I know I wouldn't have done this without your support. You motivated me to continue writing and inspiring people.

Now, SITA's almost reaching it's end. One more chapter to go before the ending. I would like to say thank you to Ate Babette, Ate Kate, Jaja and Jasmine for always warming my hearts whenever your names appear in my Notification Box. You have been with me since I started this journey. You are the fuel that keeps my fire burning. Thank you so much for the support. I am forever grateful to all of you.

Chapter 49

Love

"How have you been? Are you feeling better already?" he broke the silence between us.

Kanina pa kami tahimik dalawa kung 'di niya lang binasag ang katahimikan sa pagitan namin. We're currently walking side-by-side here in the hospital's park. Malamig na ang simoy ng hangin kaya mabuti nalang at suot ko ang coat ni Liv. The orange-ish lights from the lamp posts is the only thing that's guiding us here. Ramdam ko ang pasimple niyang tingin sa'kin habang hinihintay ang sagot ko.

"Yep," tumango ako, "I slept for hours. Okay na ako. Nakulangan lang siguro sa tulog kaya ayon..." I shrugged my shoulders.

"You shouldn't deprive yourself from sleep and rest anymore. Baka kung ano pa ang mangyari sayo." he's concerned.

Tumango nalang ako at pilit na ngumiti. "Yeah..."

Tahimik na naman kami pagkatapos no'n. Walang gustong magsalita at panay lang ang lakad namin dito sa park. The night sky is so beautiful tonight. The stars are beaming bright and the moon is in it's full glory. Its as if it's smiling at me and making me feel calm.

Medyo awkward pa rin ako kay Deonell. Pero kumalma na ako ngayon. Siya rin naman ay tahimik pa rin pero ramdam ko siyang pasulyap-sulyap sa'kin habang naglalakad kami. I just let the silence consumed us because I think we need it.

Masyadong maraming nangyari sa aming dalawa nitong nakaraang mga araw. Aminado ako na hindi ko pa alam kung paano makitungo sa kaniya. I feel so awkward right now while being beside him. But somehow, I want to rebuild our relationship. Kung totoo man ang sinabi ni Mae na kailangan niya lang ng closure, I will give him that.

I've had too much hatred, anger, annoyance and contempt. All I want right now is for us to fix our... friendship.

I flinched when he suddenly held my hand. Napatingin ako sa kaniya, gulat sa ginawa. He stopped walking so I have no choice but to stop as well. Deretso lang ang tingin niya at hindi na sumulyap sa'kin. I saw how he heave a deep breath before looking at me.

"Let's take a seat here?" he smiled a bit and pointed at the bench beside us using his free hand.

Yumuko ako at tinginan ang kamay naming magkahawak. Hinigpitan pa niya ang hawak niya doon kaya napaangat ako ng tingin sa kaniya. I bit my lower lip, hindi alam kung ano ang gagawin.

"A-Ah, sige..." sabi ko nalang.

He leaded the way towards the bench pero hawak niya pa rin ang kamay ko. Nang umupo kaming dalawa doon ay saka niya lang binitawan ang kamay ko. Nakahinga naman ako ng maluwag.
