And just like that, I found myself standing in front of this very familiar building in QC with...him, Deonell. No matter how much I try to keep my mouth shut but it just won't happen. Nakaawang ang labi ko habang tinitingnan ang building na siyang pinaghirapan ni Dad noon na ngayon ay na kay... Deonell na.

Napalunok ako. Is this really happening?

One week has already passed since we talked about me being hired as the Managing Director. Third week na ngayon ng February at malapit na din matapos ang buwang ito. Everything was already made easy for me. Deonell already held a board meeting to tell them about the changes. And by changes, that means him stepping down as the Managing Director and giving the title to me.

Sa totoo lang, kinakabahan ako. I searched about Deonell's Firm, FECF. I found out that some of the employees here are Dad's previous workmates and employees. I don't why that happened but maybe Deonell hired them or they applied here? Besides...Deonell was introduced to Dad's colleagues before.

I wonder what will happen today? Suot ang isang corporate attire, a simple black pencil skirt topped with its matching black coat with a white ruffled blouse underneath, nasa harap pa rin ako ng building. Hindi ko magawang pumasok kasi nakatulala pa rin ako.

Deonell already told me not to worry. He already briefed me with all the details and told me that he can assist me. Maaga na rin siyang umuuwi these past few days. Turns out he's been working on a project at Bulacan. The firm's Project Director's been out for awhile dahil nanganak daw ang asawa. Being a good leader as he is, he took over

He turned to me to give me a look.

"Hmm?" he hummed.

Umiling ako. "W-Wala..."

Huminga ako ng malalim. Confidence, Einradelle. Confidence!

"Don't get nervous. They won't bite you." he chuckled.

That didn't sound helpful, though. Kasi, kahit anong assure ko sa sarili ko na magiging okay lang ang lahat, talagang hindi pa rin, e. What if I'll make a mistake during my first day here? What if I'll become a laughing stock? Na-pa-praning na ako! I want to be the best version of myself today and I'm scared I might not be able to accomplish it.

"Hey, stop..." he groaned.

He grabbed my hand with his and made it stop trembling. Nakuryente ako doon at gulat na napatingin sa kaniya. I think my thoughts just disappeared. All I can think right now is his electrifying touch on me. I didn't even know that my hands are already trembling! Pero nawala lang iyon nang hawakan niya!

"I'm right here by your side, you have nothing to worry about. Hmm?" he assured and smiled, showing his dimples. His grip on my hands tightened.

"O-Okay..." I stuttered, feeling a little bit assured by his words.

Binitawan niya na ang kamay ko, nakahinga naman ako ng maluwag. He led the way inside and even opened the door for me kahit may guards naman para doon. Dahan-dahan nang nawala ang kaba sa sistema ko. The guards greeted me when we reached the double glass doors and I returned the favor.

Napa-talon ako sa gulat at napahawak sa aking dibdib nang may sumabog na party popper at mga confetti. I saw many employees clapping their hands the moment I saw them. Deonell on my side even chuckled at my reaction.
