Chapter 34

Revelation

"Happy graduation, graduates!" the host announced.

Naghiyawan ang mga tao bago hinagis namin lahat ang aming mga graduation cap. We heard some applauses and cheers from the people who are watching us. Nagkatinginan kami nila Angela at Daphne bago nagtawanan at nagyakapan. We jumped while hugging each other, humihiyaw pa si Daphne.

I can't help it but to get emotional while looking at my reflection on the glass in front of me. Wearing a toga, with a diploma on my hand and other certificates, and some medals hanging around my neck, I can't believe that I finally made it. I made it 'til the end! I survived Senior Highschool!

"Graduate na tayo! Tangina mo, thesis!" malakas na sigaw ni Daphne kaya mabilis namin siyang tinulak papalayo sa amin.

"Hoy, pucha!" mabilis na saway ni Angela at agad na tinakpan ang mukha.

My lips twitched and my forehead creased. Tinaasan ko ng kilay si Daphne at mabilis na lumayo. "Hindi ko kilala 'to." tinuro ko siya.

Today, I finally graduated. I officially finished my Senior High Education with flying colors. Sobrang bilis nga ng panahon. Parang kahapon lang, summer pa. Tapos ngayon, graduation ko na. I smiled to myself bago tinignan ang paligid. The graduates were busy chit-chatting with each other and taking pictures. They all look so happy while wearing some bright smiles on their faces.

Kahit naiirita na ako sa ingay ng dalawa, I still managed to flash a smile while looking at everyone. Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala na graduate na ako. Everything felt surreal and unbelievable.

"Hoy, picture tayo!" tawag sa'kin ni Daphne at ngumiti ng malapad sa'kin.

Nakataas pa rin ang kilay ko sa kaniya. "Kilala ba kitang eskandalosa ka?"

She pouted. "Eto naman, sorry na nga! Parang hindi niyo rin minura ang thesis-thesis na 'yan. Hmp!"

I scoffed bago umirap at lumapit na din sa kanila. We took a lot of pictures kaya nagreklamo na ako. Akala mo naman, nag photoshoot kami. After we took pictures, we hugged each other. I get awkward whenever we have intimate moments like this, but I just let it be. For sure, hindi na kami masyadong magkikita-kita after this.

Daphne is going to Singapore for College. Angela is going to Canada, where her parents are. Ako lang talaga ang maiiwan dito.

"I'm gonna miss you, guys." I whispered that to myself while hugging them. Hindi pa din ako sanay na maging intimate sa kanila.

When they are called by their parents, I decided to go to where my family are waiting. On the VVIP Section, I saw all three of my Titas waving at me as soon as they saw me. As usual, they were circulated with people but good thing they brought bodyguards. They all look so flashy on their designer dresses and jewelries. As expected for fashion icons.

"Einra dear!" Tita Amber was the first one to approach me. Nag beso-beso kami after niya ako niyakap at pinakakawalan pagkatapos. "Oh my, you finally graduated!"

I smiled. "Thanks, Tita."

"Suzette extends her congratulations, hija." Tita Samuelle appeared from behind wearing a bright smile.

"Congratulations, Einradelle. Glad to know that you made it, unlike your cousin, Olivienne who barely did it." umiling si Tita Belle.

"Mommy!" narinig ata ni Liv ang sinabi ng Mommy niya. She was quick to come to me and cover my ears. I was laughing already. She gave me an angry stare. "Hindi mo narinig 'yon!"
