"I'll be safe, don't stress." He said as he turned to walk in the other direction. We went in our opposite ways. I threw my dorm room door open and flopped on the couch. "I need to take a hot-ass shower." My phone vibrated in my back pocket. "Damn, let me order this pizza."
It didn't take long for me to get ready. I kept a robe on since Midnight said she was picking up pajamas. Cinnamon rolls were in the oven; the lamp created the perfect shade I wanted.
A bold repeated knock came from my door. "Alright, hold on."
"Take this. I have to pee." Midnight said, throwing everything into my hand. "I'm using your shower!" I laughed as I set everything on the table. "Tell me about your time at Aizawa's dorm. Did you have any fun?"
"I mean, I talked to Sushi on the cat-cam. That was fun." I took some cups and some napkins and placed them on the pizza box. "Who are you fooling, Y/N? Somethings got you flustered."
"Midnight, what the hell are these pajamas?" I held up a lace pajama that barely covered anything. "Those are mine! Yours is in the other bag."
An elegant, dark blue 5-piece silk pajama set was in the bag. "You guys like to spoil me." I put the set on and waited on the couch. Midnight took a seat next to me, putting the food on the table. "You avoided my question, don't think I didn't realize."
"What I was flustered about?" I responded. "That's it. I know when something is up. You like him, don't you." She had the most serious voice I've ever heard from her. "I don't have to deny the fact that I like him. He's an attractive guy."
"But?" She asked. "But, there's always a chance he may not return those feelings, and that's alright. I won't force myself onto him." I sighed, taking a slice of pizza. "Then again, I'm not sure if you noticed, but he's open to you." She grinned.
"That could mean anything, by the way. Who's Ms.Joke?" I said in a concerned matter. "She's a pro hero. When me, Mic, and Aizawa were students here. She was an intern close to the internship Aizawa was at. She's had a crush ever since."
"Oh, her name seems familiar. Did I meet her before?" I placed a slice of pizza on Midnight's plate. "Yeah, when you went on a date with Snipe."
"It wasn't a date, and she was the one with the green hair? She's gorgeous. I don't see why Aizawa never took a chance with her." I had a sassy tone.
"I can't answer that for you, Miss ma'am, but what I can do; is turn on this movie and change the topic." She rested her legs on mine. After our talk, I indulged in the movie. I felt like a high schooler again gossiping about a crush.
Sleep soon took over my body, but I was abruptly woken up by my phone going off like crazy. "The hell?" A low groan left my lips. I had 7 missed calls from Shota and 10 new messages.
I rang his number hoping it would connect. "Y/N!, what the hell happened to your phones?" He asked, relieved to finally receive an answer. "Nothing, we fell asleep what's wrong?"
"Turn to channel 13." I grabbed the remote and frantically changed the channel. "What's going on?" Midnight yawned waking up. "We're about to find out."
The tv changed from two hopeless romantics to a situation covered in despair. "No." Midnight gasped. I had no words, my eyes were glued to the screen, analyzing everything I was witnessing.
All Might, the guy who expressed his deepest feeling to me just about a week ago, now fighting the most powerful villain. The city that once stood high was in ruins, like something from a comic book.
My eyes began to burn. "Y/N?" Aizawa asked over the phone. "Y/N, are you still there?! Midnight!" His frantic voice made tensions rise much higher.
I focused on the corner of the screen before my jaw dropped. "Is that Midoriya in the corner?" Just as the words left my mouth, the camera panned closer to him and a few others.
His breath was tattered at this point. Midnight placed her hand on my shoulder. The more I heard, the more I saw, the more I lost. I fumbled onto the couch in awe.
It was completely silent except for the voices that kept the public informed. "Y/N, you still there?" Shota asked. I slowly brought the phone to my ear. "I'm still here," I said breathlessly.
"You and Midnight stay exactly where you are. Don't leave campus. It's on high alert right now." He ordered. "Okay, you guys over there just be safe."
His sentence got cut out before he could respond. I paced from the window to my phone and the TV. "Babe, come sit down."
"I can't."
"Look at the TV. All Might won. You can relax now." Midnight sighed, pulling my arm onto the couch next to her. "Babes, your heart is racing." She passed me a drink.
"My heart was physically in my ass. I hope everyone in the situation is ok. Thank you, have I told you how much I love and appreciate you?" I asked, leaning against her arm.
"You don't have to. I've never had a female friend like you." She replied, kissing my forehead. "You know what you have to do now?"
"What?" I asked. "Confess your feelings. Mic and I have been watching you and Shota. It's time you two quit with the bullshit."
"You're right." I picked up my phone and texted him asking if we could meet once everything settled down. He sent a reply, but I didn't read it.
The date is set and the fate may be set. Whether it's good or bad we will find out.
