Rebecca's POV-

I never ended up going back to sleep after what happened. I just sat on my bed thinking. The last words he said to me playing over and over again in my head. I had never be so scared of my own father before in my entire life.

When the clock hit 6am I had finally had enough of just sitting there thinking so I decided to just jump in the shower. As the warm water flowed over my face and through my hair I felt the warmth engulf me. Allowing a sense of peace to surround me.

It felt amazing but just like everything good, it had to end. After finishing up in the shower I got out and got changed. When I was dressed I dried my hair and threw it up into a high ponytail. All that was left to do now was for me to assess the damage.

As I looked at myself in the mirror I noticed that my eye was still badly bruised, meaning I would have to cover it up again. Slowly I started to lift up the hoodie I had put on, straight away I could see that my stomach hadn't gotten much better either. I careful moved my hand over my stomach wanted to check if everything was healing properly and thankfully it felt like it was, other than being really sore when I pressed too hard my ribs felt like they were all in place. I guess that that was some good news.

My neck was still slightly red from this morning, but it didn't look like it was going to bruise. Me being cautious though was the reason I chose to wear a baggy hoodie today.

By the time I had finished my makeup and packed my bag ready to for school, my alarm finally went off indicating that it was now 7am and seeing as my dad normally get up for work at 7:15 I decided to leave the house early and walk to school instead of taking the bus.

When I got to school I was still really early so I ended up going to the library because barely anyone else was there yet. When the bell finally rang signalling the start of the day, I headed to first lesson and with that the rest of the day passed by fairly quick.

It was nice being at school. It was where my friends where, it was where Lexie was. However, for most of the day I felt like a zombie, I was tired and fed up, finding myself having to force a smile for everyone. Everyone except Lexie though. All she had to do was look at me and I would feel happy.

When my detention ended I met Lexie, Hannah, Mike and Noah at the front steps.

"You guys didn't have to wait for me, you know?" I stated secretly really glad that they all did.

"We know, but we wanted to." Lexie said offering me a smile. Which obviously caused me to smile right back at her.

"Why would we leave without you. I mean we're all heading to the same place anyways." Hannah added as she offered me a smile.

"To be honest it's least I could do, I mean the only reason your stuck in detention in the first place is because of me." Mike continued.

"Well, thanks guys." I said giving them all a smile before we started heading over to Mikes house.

"My parents won't be back until tomorrow afternoon because they're out of town, so make yourselves at home." Mike said as he opened his front door leading us all into his front room.

Everything was just like I remembered it from when I was here the first time.

"So, how about I order the pizzas and you guys put a movie on?" Mike asked as we all took a seat on his sofa, making ourselves comfortable.
