Rebecca's POV-
Not wanting to lie to Lexie I decided to just bend the truth.
"Lexie, I don't want any more trouble." I told her because it was true, I didn't.
"It was Sam, wasn't it? I knew it." She said as she started to pace around her room.
"I'm gonna kill her." She mumbled under her breathe as she walked back and forth.
"Please, just leave it. There's no point." I said as I grabbed her shoulders stopping her in her tracks so she would look at me.
"She can't get away with hurting you like that." She said looking me straight in the eyes.
"I'm fine. Now, promise me you won't do anything or... or I'll leave. I'll leave right now." I said having to look away, as I stuttered.
Of course I didn't want to leave, but I couldn't think of another way to make her drop it.
"Promise me." I whispered keeping my eyes low.
With that she placed her hand under my chin tilting my head up to look at her.
"I promise." Was all she said before she pulled me into a soft hug.
I felt so terrible. Even though technically I wasn't lying to her, I wasn't exactly trying to correct her either. What was my other option though? She couldn't know the truth.
After that we just went to sleep.
