Rebecca's POV-
My alarm woke me up that morning. I could already feel how sore my side was and I had barely moved yet. But it was finally Friday and tonight I was going to stay at Lexie's house. Now that thought alone put a smile on my face.
As I got up slowly i walked over to my mirror to have a look. Thankful my face was no longer stinging and there was not mark left, but my stomach was another matter. It was already darker than the night before and definitely still hurt.
With that I took a shower, the water actually seemed to help with the pain a bit. After that I dried and brushed my hair out deciding to just leave it down. I wasn't bothered about putting any make up on either as it was the end of the week and after a few minutes of looking I also just decided on a simple green hoodie with black joggers.
After that I packed some spare clothes and a toothbrush into my bag for tonight and made my way downstairs.
As I expected my dad wasn't there, odds are he would have gotten home late last night from the pub, so he was probably still in bed. Not wanting to be late though, I just grabbed a banana and left.

The start of the school day went pretty fast as before I knew it was lunchtime and I was sat at my usual table with my usual friends.
"I'm so sorry you got into trouble because of me." Mike said as he hugged me from the side.
"I'll go tell the principal it was all my idea if you want?" He said looking at me with a serious expression.
"No, don't worry about it. There's really no point in us both getting into trouble." I said reassuring him.
"What I don't understand is how he got evidence linking it to you." Noah added.
"Well, it actually turns out that Teds older brother is some computer wiz at MIT." Mike admitted with a frown.
"You have got to be joking me. How did you not know that your ex's brother went to MIT?" Lexie said now confronting Mike.
"Well we were only really dating for 2 months before he cheated on me and during that time we didn't exactly spend most of our time together talking." Mike replies with a shrug.
"Ewww dude. Let's keep lunch PG, please." Noah said.
"So I guess that explains it." I said as everyone offered me a sympathetic look.
Soon enough lunch was over, so me and Lexie made our way over to our lockers to get our Sports kits. This was actually my first gym class and to be honest I wasn't exactly looking forward to it, plus the pain in my side didn't exactly help either. I just had to hope that we were going to have an easy lesson today.
After we got our kits we made our way over to the changing rooms by the gym. But that's when I realised that I actually had to get changed, in front of everyone.
I couldn't let anyone see my bruise. They'd ask too many questions.
As if Lexie felt my hesitation she turned to face me.
"There are some changing cubicles at the back over there if you're uncomfortable." She said pointing to some cubicles at the back of the changing room.
