Rebecca's POV-
Wednesday past by fairly quickly. I ended up spending most the day in my room catching up on school work and just reading. My dad was at work most of the day, but when he was home he was overly nice again. To be honest I was actually starting to get used to it.
My eye wasn't really swollen any more but the bruise was definitely darker than yesterday. My stomach looked terrible and hurt just as much, but as long as I didn't move too fast or laugh I could easily cover up the pain. The only thing that scared me though was how I was going to cover up my eye for school tomorrow.
Lexie texted me a few times while she was at school. She kept complaining that she was bored without me, which I found really cute. But here I was just as bored without her. I know we kissed a few days ago, but with everything getting in-between us, I had no idea where we stood.
I really like her, but I also really hate lying to her.

I woke up to my alarm clock pulling me away from my sleep. Which strangely enough I was grateful for. I was still having nightmares, but they were no longer about my mom. They were always slightly different, but sadly always having the same ending.
The dark silhouette of a monster would always chase me around the house until it would inevitably catch me. There was never a way out.
With that I hopped out of bed, but quickly regretting my decision as a wave of nausea caused me to grip onto my side table before falling to my knees. After taking a few deep breathes, in order to let the pain and dizziness pass I was fine to slowly stand up and head into the bathroom.
Looking at my stomach in the mirror, i saw that the bruises spread across my stomach were definitely darker than yesterday. But it was going to be fine, I was just going to have to be more careful. My eye however was the same as yesterday meaning I was going to have to try and cover it up as much as possible, so after taking a shower that's what I did.
Firstly I added a bit of concealer directly to where the bruise was and then I did a layer of foundation over my whole face which pretty much did the job, thankfully it was now barely even noticeable, so I finished off the rest of my makeup and headed downstairs.
It felt weird wearing so much makeup because I rarely ever wore any and if I did it was never normal this much, but it still looked pretty natural so I wasn't too worried about getting into trouble at school.
Like on cue my dad was downstairs making pancakes, so I quickly ate some and left, not wanting to get into a conversation with him.

When I got to school I headed straight to my locker and to my surprise Lexie was there waiting for me. Straight away a smile formed on her face when she looked up from her phone and saw me walking over. She looked so beautiful just standing there with her hair tied back into a cute ponytail.
"Morning." I greeted when I reached her.
"Morning, are you feeling better?" She asked so sweetly my heart slightly melted. God, I don't deserve this girl.
"Yeah, much better actually. Call me crazy, but I'm really glad to be back at school." I said as I opened my locker to get out my books for today's lessons.
"Well I'm glad you're back too." She replied, her smile growing even bigger. "I was actually starting to miss you." She continued.
"Really?" I asked. Raising my eyebrow slightly.
"I mean yeah, like just a little." She teased.
"Wow only a little, huh?" I said closing my locker and turning to face her directly.
"Yep." She replied popping the 'p' as she started to bit her bottom lip slightly.
"Well, I guess you wouldn't want to get a milkshake with me after school then, would you?" I said with a smirk before I turned on my heels to start walking to class. But before I could take the first step she answered my question.
"Well, I mean who am I to turn down a milkshake." She said as she walked passed me flicking her hair and leaving me behind.
Damn! I was seriously stood there in awe as she walked ahead swinging her hips as if on purpose. I guess she really did miss me. I thought with a smirk as I couldn't look away.
"Ahh Miss Wilson, I'm glad you felt well enough to grace us with your presence today." A deep voice from behind me said pulled my attention away from... well, you know what from ;)
"Um yes sir." I replied not too sure why the principal cared.
"I just thought I'd let you know that the two detentions you missed will be added on to the end of your 2 weeks." He stated as he stood there analysis me like I was some delinquent.
"Okay." I said. I mean, what else was there for me to say?
"Well, hurry along to class then. The last thing you need is another detention."
With that I turned around and headed to first period.
The first two lessons went by really fast and before I knew it it was break.
"Rebecca! Thank god you're here. We need you to settle this debate." Mike exclaimed as me and Lexie joined them at our usual table."Noah's saying that Clexa is a better ship than Wayhaught! Please tell him how wrong he is."
"Wow, that's a tough one. But I can't do that, sorry Mike." I said causing him to fake a heart attack as he gasped for air and clung at his chest in a very over dramatic way.
With that Lexie and Hannah burst out laughing and Noah lent over the table to give me a high five. God, I really did miss these guys.
"You traitor." Mike said sending me a death glare forcing me to smile and when I did I felt a small shooting pain in my right eye reminding me that I had to be careful and that laughing was definitely out of the question.
So I tried to change the subject.
"You'll never guess who has extended my detentions for another two day because I was off." I said trying to avoid actually lying to them all as much as possible.
"Wow, that sucks. It's not like it was your fault that you couldn't come in." Hannah said offering me a small smile.
"You know I'm still really sorry about getting you into trouble, right?" Mike added as he gave me an apologetic look.
"I know, but it wasn't your fault. It was my idea, plus I would do it all over again if I had the chance." I said returning a smile.
"Well he did deserve it." Lexie added.
"He deserved worst." Noah continued.
"Aww, you guys are the best." Mike said with a smile. "How about you all come over to mine tomorrow after school so we can all hang out?" He asked with a smile.
"Yeah, we can watch a movie and order some pizza." Hannah said.
"I'm in." Lexie added.
"It's pizza, of course I'm coming." Noah joked.
"How about you Rebecca? You in?" Mike asked causing everyone to look at me waiting for an answer.
"Sounds fun." I smiled. I mean, I wasn't lying.
But that was it, the plan was set, all I had to do now was ask my dad.
Can't wait.
