Rebecca's POV-
The next morning I woke up an hour before my alarm thanks to yet another nightmare. It made me realise how much I missed Lexie. She made me feel... safe.
As I couldn't get back to sleep, I decided to get up and have a shower. But before I got in I had a look at the damage. Now it had spread more to the centre of my stomach as well, making the already big bruise from before much bigger. It hurt more as well, if I stood up too fast or turned too much, I would suffer the consequences.
After my shower I got changed into joggers and a hoodie. I didn't really care that much about what I looked like, I just wanted to get to school and see my friends. But that meant going downstairs.
My dad stayed downstairs for most of yesterday meaning I couldn't really do much. I wasn't sure if he was still drunk or not, but I guess I was going to find out.
With that I left my room and headed downstairs to the kitchen.
"Morning Munchkin." He greeted me with a plate full of pancakes.
What the hell? How was he seriously acting like everything was normal, like nothing happened. Was I going crazy because it was starting to feel like he had 2 different personalities.
It was starting to feel like when ever he was drunk, I was his punching bag. But whenever he was sober, I was his Munchkin.
"Morning." I said stepping closer and taking the plate of pancakes from him.
I decided to quickly eat them and headed to school. The less time I had to spend with him right now, the better.

Lexie's POV-
When I got to school that morning I headed straight to my locker. As expected Mike, Hannah and Noah were there waiting for me.
"Hey guys." I said as I reached them.
"The plan still on?" Noah asked.
"Of course. I want answers." I replied stepping past them and opening up my locker.
"Good, just checking." He said with a smile.
"She's here." Hannah interrupted as she looked over to the school entrance. With that we all brought our gaze towards where she was looking.
"It was Sam." My blood started to boil just looking at her. She hurt Rebecca and I wanted to know why. Her being... jealous wasn't a good enough excuse.
"Don't worry about her now, we'll see her at break." Mikey said putting a soft hand on my shoulder.
"Yes we will."

Rebecca arrived not long after, so we headed to our first lesson. She seemed pretty quiet, but she was also happy at the same time. Almost... content.
First lesson passed quickly and before I knew it we were starting a game of tennis in the gym. I paired up with Rebecca. She was actually fairly good at it, but I was better.
"10-5 to me!" I shouted in triumph.
"Hey, that's not fair." She whined.
"It's not my fault you're so slow." I laughed.
"I'm not slow, I'm just letting you win." She replied with a small smirk.
"No way, Wilson. I'm just better at Tennis than you. Face the facts." I stated now with a big grin plastered across my face.
"Ok ok. You win." She continued in defeat.
After that we played a few more games, but soon enough she got fed up of losing, so she just complained that she was 'too tired'. Not long after though the lesson ended at we got changed.
Now it was time for the plan to take place.
Break was 20 minutes long. It was now 11am, so I had 5 minutes to get Rebecca away from the Changing room.
"So, you ready to finish off our project at the library? It should only take 15 minutes." I asked her as she finish putting her kit in her bag and zipping it up.
"Yup, let's go." She said giving me a sweet smile as she put her bag pack on.
God, how could someone hurt this precious creature. Now that is what I am going to find out.
As we got half way to the library I stopped.
"Oh shit." I said catching Rebecca's attention as she looked at me with a confused look.
"What's wrong?" She asked looking a little worry.
"Nothing, I just forgot my keys on the changing room bench." I answered using the best excuse I could think of. "I'm gonna have to go back and get them."
"I'll come with you if you want." She said turning towards me.
"No, it's fine. You keep going, I'll meet you there." I said offering her a smile.
"Okay." She said returning the smile.
With that I turned around and headed back to the gym changing rooms.
Reaching the door to the changing room I checked my phone. 11:05, perfect timing and as if right on cue Mike, Hannah and Noah turned the corner coming into my view.
"Ready?" I asked them as they reached me.
"Ready." They all said simultaneously.
So I pushed open the door.
