𝙹𝚄𝙽𝙴 𝟸𝟺, 𝟸𝟶𝟸𝟶
THE FINAL AUDITIONS WERE TODAY and maeve was feeling even more nervous, the cameras weren't helping. apart of her was having a good feeling about this audition process considering she's been called back each time. unlike her other auditions prior to this one
"okay, before we get started with you guys" kenny motioned to madison, owen, charlie, and jeremy "i want to see maeve and charlie on stage"
"yeah, yeah of course" charlie nodded along with maeve
"jeremy and owen take your places" kenny said to the two other "okay, maeve and charlie i want the two of you to sing bright. i'm debating whether or not i should add a flashback scene in the show of luke and luna. but either way i want to see how the two of you sound together"
once the four were in their position and ready to go, maeve took a breath before grabbing her microphone "sometimes i think i'm falling down i wanna cry i'm calling out for one more try to feel alive and when i feel lost and alone i know that i can make it home fight through the dark and find the spark" her soft voice was the only thing that was heard in the room
"life is a risk but i will take it close my eyes and jump together i think that we can make it come on, let's run and rise through the night, you and i we will fight to shine together bright forever" her voice hit the last note making kenny's eyebrows perk up and he glanced over to paul with a very impressed look
"and rise through the night, you and i we will fight to shine together bright forever" the same last note being hit the exact same way
"and times that i doubted myself i felt like i needed some help stuck in my head with nothing left i feel something around me now so unclear, lifting me out i found the ground i'm marching on" charlie stepped up to his microphone as he sung the second verse, glancing towards maeve with a small grin
"life is a risk but we will take it close my eyes and jump together i think that we can make it come on, let's run" maeve smirked as she moved along to the voices of charlie and jeremy as they sang the pre-chorus
"and rise through the night, you and i we will fight to shine together bright forever and rise through the night, you and i we will fight to shine together bright forever" as charlie and maeve sung the chorus charlie kept his eyes on maeve, he watched the way she moved along to the beat of the drums owen was playing
maeve glanced over to charlie and noticed that he gave her a nod, motioning for her to come over "in times that i doubted myself" she grinned and walked over. she placed her microphone in front of him. he grinned "i felt like i needed some help stuck in my head, with nothing left" maeve walked backwards to the middle of the stage, charlie following along
"and when i feel" maeve turned to face the crowd which consisted of madison, madison's father, kenny, paul, and a few other directors "lost and alone i know that i can make it home" the two were very close that maeve glanced up at him, their faces dangerously close "fight through the dark and find the spark" before she hit the high note she turned away from charlie and walked back towards owen who had a grin
"and rise through the night, you and i we will fight to shine together (shine together) bright forever (bright forever) and rise through the night, you and i we will fight to shine together bright forever" as they finished singing, kenny had his hands up in the air with a huge smile on his face and the rest began to clap. madison on the other hand cheered and let out a small encouraging 'woo!'
"that was absolutely incredible!" kenny said enthusiastically, a huge smile tugged on his lips
maeve traded places with madison, maeve watched the boys play with madison. she was in aww at the fifteen year old, she had the most powerful voice she's ever heard
as the band wrapped up, kenny took a few steps in front of him towards the stage "maeve go join the four up on stage" kenny encouraged. maeve furrowed her brows but nonetheless listened. she stood next to jeremy "yeah, you are our band. and maeve you are our luna" kenny said calmly
more clapping was heard from the rest of the directors. kenny walked up to maeve and gave her a huge hug "congratulations, i cannot wait to start working with you" kenny said excitedly
