MAEVE SLOAN ARRIVED TO SEATTLE, WASHINGTON AROUND THREE IN the afternoon. she was currently with jackson, the two were in his kitchen as jackson washing the dirty dishes they used. he was catching her up on everything that's gone down in seattle grace mercy west. she would zone out here and there, but it wasn't until he said something that caught her interest "did you hear about dean and monica?" he asks her
she furrows her brows "what about dean and monica?" she asks as she's seated on the kitchen counter
"apparently, the day you left seattle, monica broke up with dean" he informs her. as soon as maeve ask why, he continues "from what lily told meredith, apparently she had enough of being a second choice to him"
"oh" was all she could mutter. no wonder he's been texting her back, ever since he started dating monica he would hardly respond
jackson threw her a quick glance, he notice that way she was so deep in her thoughts "can i ask you something?" she nodded "if he were to ask you to give your relationship another go, what would you say?" he asks as he dries off his hands with the towel that's beside him
she stayed quiet for a few seconds before answering "i don't know. ever since charlie admitted to me that he likes me—
"wait, wait, wait" he cut her off "charlie finally told you?" he says surprisingly. she nodded "wow, the kid finally grew a pair" he jokes as maeve chucks a apple at him. he flicked her off before asking his next question as he jumps to sit on the islands across from her "well, do you like him?"
maeve sighs, taking a few seconds to think. but to jackson, her silence said it all "whenever i'm around him and he says things like i look beautiful, i get this feeling of butterflies. but if i'm being honest, it's nothing compared to what i would feel if it were dean calling me beautiful. even if we aren't together i still get nervous around him" she sighs "the two are just so different. charlie is the good nature boy who follows the rules, meanwhile dean is the adventurous guy who takes risk and doesn't think twice about the consequences" her mind goes back to dean's words you always loved the adrenaline
"has anyone else ever made you feel the way dean ever did?" he asks curiously
maeve immediately meet his eyes, she didn't even hesitate in answering "yes"
