"YOU'RE KIDDING ME" MAEVE exclaims at sloan as lexie pushes maeve behind her
"you're not serious. you got him a snow globe of seattle?" lexie questioned sloan
"what? he likes seattle" sloan replied
"no he doesn't" maeve snaps
"i gave you 50 bucks. where's my change?" lexie questioned
from across the room derek could hear the three girls arguing "um" he clears his throat as he walks over to mark "mark... your kids are bickering" derek said as he refers to lexie, sloan, and maeve "have you talked to her yet?"
"i'm workin' on it" mark replied as he glances over to derek
"mm" derek nods before leaving

once meredith had invited everyone to come to the dinner table, maeve practically ran up to her father, gripping his hand
"hey honey" mark smiled down to his daughter
"when is she leaving?" maeve questioned
"maeve" mark scold his daughter before taking his seat, maeve was about to sit next to him but he stopped her "let sloan sit here"
maeve was a bit taken back "why? i want to sit next to you" maeve said
"you always get to sit by me, let sloan sit here" he said as sloan came to stand behind maeve
"beat it kid" sloan whispered
lexie on the other hand, seen the interaction and her face sadden at the look on maeve's face "maeve, come sit next to me" she offered
maeve shook her head "no it's okay. i'm not that hungry, i-ill just be in the living room" she said
she was about to turn around to leave, but mark's voice stopped her "maeve go sit next to lexie"
"i'm not h—
"go sit to lexie!" he said sternly as everyone around them glanced at the two. maeve sighs before taking her seat in between lexie and richard webber

"IT'S NEW YEARS EVE" MAEVE whispered to her father and lexie as the three watched sloan reading a book on the couch
"i know" mark said in a lowered voice
"she shows no signs of leaving— no suitcase packed, nothing" lexie adds before glancing towards maeve "mae cover your ears" she said. maeve furrowed her brows, but did as told. lexie takes a few steps towards mark and leaned closer to him "talk to her right now, or no more sex for you" she says before grabbing maeve's hand and dragging her into her and mark's room
