ITS OFFICIALLY BEEN ONE MONTH SINCE MAEVE SLOAN AND DEAN SALVATORE called it quits. this whole month has been very hard on maeve. before she left seattle she broke the news to mark sloan and lexie grey. she didn't give any details, mainly because mark had finally started liking dean again and she didn't want that to change. all they told her was that if she ever needed to get away from work, that she was always welcomed back home and they promised they would give away their surgery's just to be with her

the moment she got to vancouver, savannah noticed her puffy red eyes from crying on the flight. maeve didn't hesitate in telling her roommate, and ever since then, the brown eyed brunette made it her mission to not let maeve drown in her feelings. although she didn't tell the rest of cast right away, the day she did tell them, they all promised to be there for her. heartbreaks are hard, and they are never easy. but she was utterly grateful to have all of her friends support

"you're going to think that the pain will never end, but it will. but first, you have to let it all in. you can't fight it. it's bigger than you. you have to let yourself drown in it. but then eventually you'll start to swim and every single breath that you fight for will make you stronger. and i promise that you will beat it" these are the words meredith grey told her goddaughter the day she left seattle. and these words helped maeve push through her heartbreak that was still healing. to her it felt like it would never heal because she was missing dean from her life, the last time she heard his voice was the day he left her the voicemail. she didn't call back, savannah helped her come to conclusion that it would continue to break her if she did

it was five in morning, maeve had woken up one hour earlier to do the thing she's been dreading. she grabbed the empty box that was on her bedroom floor, she placed it on her bed, with a sigh she walked over to her dresser. there was three picture frames that held pictures of maeve and dean. the first one was a smiling maeve sitting on dean's lap while holding her margarita, it was taken at the after party of jo and alex's wedding. the second was maeve and dean laying on the ground, it was a photoshoot they did when they turned 20. the last one was one of her favorite, it was a close up of the two smiling, it was taken back in 2013. she grabbed the three frames and walked back to her bed to place them into the empty box

as minutes passed, the empty box was now filled with memories. from dean's clothes that she's stolen from the last six years to every item dean's bought her. the one thing that hurt the most to place in the box was her promise ring, tears we're definitely shed

being on set was the only way maeve sloan could clear her mind. she only had a week left to finish writing her song for the show, so that's what her focus was from now on

she was inside 'luna's old garage' which is now 'julie's garage' she sat on the couch, her fingers playing the strings of the guitar. she looked down to her notebook that held some lyrics she wrote down

"do ya think about me every night?" she sung softly "when you turn out all the lights, tv on so you don't have to sleep alone"

her mind wandered off to her character, luna blake. luke's ex-girlfriend, according to her talk with kenny, luna was feeling hurt as she continued to watch luke be affectionate to julie. so in this episode, she's supposed to have a heart to heart with alex, talking to him about her feelings. and with their talk she comes to a decision that she needs to let go of their past relationship and that she needs to move on

it was almost like what she was going through. she needed to let go of her relationship with dean, and she needed to move on. so she poured out her feelings

"do ya think back on all our fights? still convinced i'm out my mind? or did ya get drunk and just pick up the phone?" she sung

on her eighteen birthday, maeve sloan got a tattoo with dean salvatore. and everyday she undressed herself, she'd see the red outlined sweetheart candy tattoo that held the word 'baby' right inside the outline, it was right on her hip, always a constant reminder of the man she loved. but she promised herself that the tattoo had a new meaning

"i got you tattooed on my skin to remind myself that i'm better than this. so did you think you'd show up and i'd let you in?" the lyrics just flowed out of her lips. she placed her guitar down on the couch before quickly writing down her lyrics

as she grabbed her guitar again she and just poured out whatever she was feeling "you didn't get me then, so you don't get me now. you don't get me now. i didn't understand how you could walk out, but i do now, i do now. now i'm better, better than i ever was. now i'm better, better than i ever was. now i'm better, better than i ever was" a grin appeared on her lips as her song was coming together

as she was writing down the lyrics that just came to her, she heard footsteps, making her head turn to see charlie gillespie walking into the built garage "hey, whatcha doing?" he asked with a grin

"working on my song" she grinned in excitement as it was finally coming together "come here" she patted down on the empty seat beside her

charlie felt his heart tug in happiness as he finally seen her smile again. he walked over and sat beside her. she grabbed her guitar "i haven't played it for anyone, so i want you to be the first. tell me what you think, okay?" she asked. charlie nodded, he felt his heart skip a beat at the thought of her picking him to be the one to first hear her song

as she started singing from the beginning, charlie bobbed his head, closely paying attention to the lyrics. from do ya think back on all our fights? to i got you tattooed on my skin

he was truly amazed at the green eyed brunette. she never failed to surprise him "so what do you think?" she asked pulling him out of his thoughts

"i think it's really good" he admitted "but i don't think it'll be better than mads and i's song" he teasingly joked

maeve playfully rolled her eyes "shut up" she giggled softly "but you're right, only because you have madison. now if you didn't, then your song would completely suck" she jokes making charlie's mouth fall open

"shut up" he chuckled as he nudged her, making her giggle "come on, kenny needs us on set" he said as he stood up. before he walked out he grabbed the small cushion and threw it at her

maeve let out a gasp as it hit her shoulder, she glared at charlie before grabbing the pillow and flicking it to charlie. the two didn't realize that someone was walking into the garage. so when charlie dodged the cushion it ended up hitting owen joyner "i- you guys are children" he muttered before bending down and hitting charlie in the face "now lets go" he said as maeve lets out a giggle
