𝗐𝖾𝖽𝗇𝖾𝗌𝖽𝖺𝗒 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝟮𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟵
MAEVE CAROLYN SLOAN WAS STANDING BESIDE JACKSON AVERY, THE TWO were leaning against the wall, meanwhilethe rest of the family was sitting around the living room opening presents. a smile grew on maeve's lips as she watched sofia open her gift from maeve, it was a lavender colored polaroid camera, the same camera she's been nagging at both mark and callie to buy her. the gasp that left her lips made everyone chuckle lightly at her surprised yet ecstatic facial expression
jackson glanced down at the girl beside her, he watched as her smile faltered. he furrows his brows "since when did you turn into the grinch?" he teases her unreadable expression
maeve forced out a small chuckle, she shook her head slightly "it's nothing"
jackson pushed himself to stand up from being leaned against the wall, he took a few steps forward so he can full face the green eyed brunette "what? suddenly, i'm not your person anymore?" he questions curiously
maeve's eyes landed on his matching green ones, a small smile tugged on her lips as she reached out to intertwine their hands together "jackson avery, you'll always be my person" she admits
jackson found himself smiling, before squeezing her hand "then what's wrong?" he questioned "because ever since you got here, i've notice you've been rather quiet. is it because of dean?" he asked, figuring that his incident is what made her realize that she wanted to get back together with him
maeve shook her head "no, a-actually...it's about charlie" she said, surprising herself that for once her thoughts didn't go to a certain blue eyed blond, but instead to a certain hazel eyed brunette "i-i like charlie" she whispers, finally admitting it to herself
jackson's eyebrows rose, his eyes widening slightly. he knew charlie had a thing for maeve, but he never thought that maeve would ever move on from dean. he always thought she would eventually run back to him "o-oh" was all that jackson could mutter
maeve looked up at jackson "i know, i know. he isn't my type, trust me i've heard it from eve—"
jackson cut her off "i like him, he's a cool guy and i actually think he would be good for you" he admits which catches maeve off guard "and if there is anyone in this world that deserve good...it's you"
before maeve could respond, the door bell rang. jackson turned back to see the rest being unbothered "everyone's here" he noted as there was nobody missing from their group
