MAEVE WAS GETTING READY FOR school when callie came over and went straight to mark's room. she softly knocked on the door "hey dad, i know you and callie are talking but it's time to drop me off at school" fourteen year old maeve said through the closed door
"coming" mark called out. he walked out, callie following behind "callie's joining us" he said as maeve nodded curiously
as the two were in the car, on their way to the school mark spoke up "hey sweetheart"
"yeah?" maeve questioned
"you know how you've told me that you want another sibling?" he asked her as he glanced back at her through his rear view mirror
she furrowed her brows before gasping "is lexie pregnant?!" she excitedly questioned
"n-no" mark states with a sighs
maeve's eyebrows rose, a small gasp leaving her lips "you got callie pregnant?!" she said in shock "b-but, oh god. you better hope lexie doesn't leave you for this"
mark and callie having a bewildered look on their face "i didn't even say callie—
maeve cut mark off "dad, come on. i'm not ten and you guys need to learn to be more quiet, my headphone only go so loud" she muttered as callie choked on her spit

"but congratulations to the two of you" she smiled "i hope it's a girl" she said excitedly "wait are you two gonna get married?"
"absolutely not" callie spoke up for the first time
