maeve was playing the familiar keys on her medium sized piano to the new song she wrote. sofia had asked to hear a little snippet of it. so she began to sing the first verse "i've been doin' too much retail therapy you left me with a box of empty memories that's all i have left of you thought i was so much more to you i've been doin' too much overthinkin' 'bout you and your friends probably overdrinkin' that's how you get rid of me forget all the shit you did to me"
"now every day feels like a year when you're gone and i'm waitin' here for you to change your mind i swear you still want this"
"so why can't you text me and tell me you're sorry? admit that you made a mistake and you love me oh, oh i wish you would call me and say that you need me say you were stupid and foolish for leavin' oh, oh and when you try to make up i'll hang up 'cause you burned me i just wanna hurt you like you hurt me" she sang the chorus before lifting her fingers from the keys
"wow" sofia said with raised eyebrows "i-i definitely don't want to fall in love" she said with a sigh
"hey, not all guy are bad" a voice spoke up. the two girls turned their heads to maeve's door. there leaned mark sloan "and i'm living proof" he grinned
maeve glanced at sofia before glancing towards her dad "you sure about that?" she raised a brow
as soon as mark caught on to what she was referring to, he immediately spoke up "yeah... don't fall in love sweetheart" he mutters
"someone get the door!" lexie's voice rang in their ears as she shouted from downstairs
"looks like the gang is here" mark said as he pushes himself up from the door frame and walked downstairs. maeve and sofia were quick to follow as well
"hi honey!" meredith grinned as soon as she came eye to eye with her goddaughter
"hi mer" maeve smiled as she greeted her godmother in a hug
"hi stranger" derek smiled as he side hugged his goddaughter and kissed her temple "we miss having you around. especially this munchkin" he said as he bounced ellis in his arms who giggles as she wrapped her hands around her father's neck
