"Yeah, its tough, but like I'm so excited- yeah, I finally get to beat someone up- but WITHOUT cops bro," Jake said, he was sitting on his and Erika's bed inside the tour bus. The sun was shining outside, the rest of the team was out at the stores enjoying the day without having to work right then, while Jake had to hang behind for training.
"I'm still surprised you agreed to this bro, a tour and a fight at one time?" Logan responded, he was back at home, but had gotten many updates from Jake and his tour, since they were both training for Deji and Ksi- truth be told, Logan was nervous for Jake, Jake was strong and he put a lot of time and effort into fighting, but Jake also had a huge ego, probably the biggest one in their group of fighters, and while Jakes ego helped him, it was a double edged sword, also creating chaos for him whenever things went wrong.
"We got a press conference coming up, your ready for that?" Logan asked, he tried not to sound worried, but he was, Jake had only been slightly in the clear after being arrested the other year, and there was gonna be a lot of hype and trash talk going on...If Jake got too angry, he could snap, really hurt someone and destroy the whole event along with his career.
"Bro I'm so ready, again I get to say what I want without being censored by this stupid camera- everyone expects me to go out and be foul," Jake said with a devilish glint in his eyes.
"We can meet up at my house so we can get dressed, be there, and you can be back on your tour," Logan told him, besides getting ready,Logan did really want to see Jake, because even though he loved the spot light, a lot of things had been going on in his life, and to have to keep pushing and being fake happy for his camera and stage would have to get exhausting.
"I'll see you then bro, a little while after the conference, the tour will be over, and we can train together," Jake said, Logan smiled over the phone, he was proud at how far away from the drama he and Jake came from, and how close of a bond they were getting, Jake suggesting and actually wanting him around, still made him excited, because of how much they hated each other in the past.
"Yeah bro! We're about to embarrass those clowns!" Logan announced, "Show em why you don't mess with America!" Jake said back excitedly,
Erika came into the bus while Jake was talking, even while they were off Jake had been doing calls or training, she missed him terribly.
Erika slowly sat in Jake's lap, feeling his arm go around her while he continued talking to Logan.
Erika was glad Jake was feeling better after what befell their child, he wasn't smoking, he wasn't as crazy all the time, he seemed to put all his pent up hurt into training his body, and performing, and while she was glad he was being constructive instead of tearing himself everyone else down...
A part of her,
a selfish little part...
It missed Jake being so insane, because when he was like that, he depended on her more, he clung to her because she was the only one who got pass his crazy, the only one he could communicate with...They were always together, Jake needed her, it was a close intimacy she longed for.
"What are you doing?" Jake questioned, so wrapped up in herself, Erika didn't notice Jake had hung up with Logan, and that she had been caressing Jake's leg..."I just wanted to see if we hang out...Before we have to work again?" Erika asked gently, kissing Jake's cheek, "No, I'm gonna get back to training," Jake told her, Erika frowned a little, "But baby," Erika said kissing his lips, while trying to put both of Jake's arms around her now.
Jake kissed back, but he didn't deepen it, no bite, no tongue, just a peck, before he moved back, "I have to hurry, I'm wasting daylight," Jake said moving to get up, Erika moved her hand placing it on his pants zipper. "Jake," She whispered kissing him again, Jake kissed back, but took her hand off, with struggle from Erika, whom had lightly groped him. "No," Jake told her bluntly, getting irritated now, he got up a bit roughly forcing Erika off his lap, and on to her feet.
"Chill out," He said glaring at her, he was attracted to Erika obviously, he thought of Erika to be one of the most beautiful girls he had seen, but this was important to him, besides the excitement, with promise of violence, this fight meant more to Jake then a lot of his other events...He wanted her support, but Erika seemed to have other things occupying her mind.
Erika felt embarrassed, Jake rejected her? She was bluntly asking Jake to sleep with her, and he told her no? It hurt, she was trying to get close with him without all this work, and he just didn't want it. Not only did she miss Jake but, she wanted to prove how much she loved him, not just to him, but to herself...But it was harder to do, when all they could do was talk and work together, it was a growing problem...
"You can come out and train with me, but that's all," Jake told her, Erika nodded looking away, still feeling ashamed, Jake left, he was focused on his fight above all else. Erika stood there, she wanted to support Jake, but her mind wouldn't rest, and when she was with him, if she couldn't drown out her thoughts in intimacy, she felt guilty, and Jake would notice, he always noticed, and she would lie to him again, and he would trust her, she was still the number one person he trusted, she was the person who even made him doubt himself....
