The gentle warm sunshine came through the window, being blocked by the shades loosely on his face. Logan had one hand on his steering wheel, while the other fiddled with the knobs changing the song on the radio, he found a station he liked and placed his other hand back on the wheel just as he was making a turn, he tapped his fingers lazily on the wheel to the beat, a thrill washing over him; The weather was nice, blue sky's and sunshine, perfect for going out or getting work done.
Logan was currently doing both, he was heading to his younger brothers mansion for a video idea along with a casual visit, it was football season, a big game was coming on and thanks to their athletic history with playing and watching the sport, of course
they were both hyped to see it, Jake had asked about filming, but Logan was the one who ventured to ask about a super bowl party, to which Jake somewhat pleasantly agreed to.
The driveway crackles against Logan's tires as he pulled up to Jake's, getting past his gates, now coming up into his yards, noticing some of the other cars parked outside, getting washed by Jake's employee's. Logan threw up his hand to greet them, making them stop briefly from gently hosing off Jake's Tesla, to wave back recognising Logan.
Just as Logan was getting out of his car, locking it behind him, he saw Jake's huge mansion doors open up, Jake coming out, his jersey already on - with his own name on it, he had a serious look on his face as strutted straight towards Logan.
some of the washers turned around just to see who came out, making Jake give them a nasty look, "Get back to work! Don't look at me!" Jake snapped sharply, making his workers shake a little quickly looking back at Jake's vehicles taking extra care of them, Logan watched Jake's employee's uncomfortably, sucking nervous air though his gritted teeth, stopping when he noticed Jake had gotten closer to him.
Jake's serious and annoyed expression had morphed into a grin, which in some ways looked a bit creepy, but Logan knew Jake meant well.
The brothers clapped their hands together, gripping a hold before bumping each others shoulders. "Jakey! What's up?" Logan asked smiling, "What's good with you fam? " Jake responded, "You ready to kick off this game, it's suppose to be real good," Logan said as he and Jake began going back to his door, "I'm ready bro, but we need to get this last part filmed first" Jake told him, "Of course- what are we doing?" Logan asked the doors to Jake's mansion closing behind him.
"Lie detector," Jake muttered as he got out his phone scrolling through apps, he found one with a megaphone icon before holding it, "YO! GET INTO MY ROOM, WE'RE STARTING TO FILM NOW- BE LATE YOUR BUTTS MINE" Jake threatened into his phone, in mere seconds Logan heard Jake's voice being told throughout the house. "Wow, that's dope" Logan complimented looking around, Jake smirked, "It beats having them sit in my room till I'm ready," Jake said, beginning to walk around again, Logan trailing behind him, marveling at how nice Jake's place was, the walls were tall and white, he had an elevator and a beautiful staircase with two more floors going up, what was really shocking to Logan was how clean it still looked, he still heavily remembered Jake's old house where he would throw fits and break stuff just for fun.
"Want a pre video snack before the game?" Jake asked looking back at Logan, "Yeah, what do you have bro?" Logan asked, Jake shrugged as he led him to his gorgeous kitchen, "Byron! Food!" Jake shouted causing a man in an apron to begin rushing around fixing a platter for them, "Yo bro, you gotta chef?" Logan questioned eyes widening, Logan had got back on his feet since having Jake temporarily live with him, but he was apprehensive about getting all those luxuries like his brother.
"Are you even rich if you don't have a chef?" Jake said cockily, he snatched the platter of assorted crackers, meats, cheeses and fruits from his chef, snarling at him until he backed off. The brothers were now going to Jake's house elevator, Jake calling another employee in to press the buttons of the elevator and hold the platter of food for him, while he ate and talked with Logan.
"Did you see that idiot saying all that bull online?" Jake questioned before popping a grape into his mouth "There's a lot of that on the internet bro," Logan laughed, "Who is it this time?' He asked as he slid his phone out, "Some moron called "Ksi"- He said he wants to fight us, " Jake said his tone getting more annoyed as he spoke, "Wow, is he did real?" Logan questioned looking at what the media had to say.
"I hope it's real" Jake suddenly said as the elevator doors opened, Logan took the platter of snacks from Jake's employee thanking them, before eating a cracker, "You hope it's real?" Logan said in surprise, "Yeah, if it's real, I get to beat someone up without cops getting involved," Jake said, venom dripping from his tone, Logan inwardly shuddered seeing the look on his face.
"He asked for it right?" Jake said with a malicious grin, just before he entered the doors into his bedroom, Logan felt a bit of an uncomfortable dread hearing that, but he tried to shake it off as he heard Jake's team greeting them.
"Hey baby," Erika said standing up, going to hug Jake, Jake kissed her grabbing her hand leading her over to sit on his couch, where Anthony, Chad, Kade and Nathan were sitting or setting up cameras. "So uh, what kind of video is it?" Erika asked, still clinging to Jake's hand while he used his other hand to set some things up on his laptop, "Jake said it's a lie detector thing," Logan said rubbing his hands together getting an nervous excitement.
Erika suddenly stiffened, her face going pale, memories what she had done flooding in, everyone else's voices getting drowned out briefly, blood rushing to her ears. "Ready to play?" Jake asked squeezing Erika's hand finally getting her attention, Erika faked a smile and nodded saying; "Yep, ready as I'll ever be."
