Chapter 66 My Haven

Jake and Erika spent the say together, they went out for breakfast, went shopping dropped off their stuff, had a walk through nature, found and swam in waterfalls took pictures, Erika even spelled 'Jerika' in some rocks by the place, they talked about the beautiful scenery, where they were at their careers, where they wanted to be, how far they came, everything was going great...Although Erika could tell something was bothering Jake, although since he didn't share what it was right away, she didn't want to pester him, although she was getting worried.

Jake and Erika made it back to their vacation house, Erika took a shower first, then Jake, she had been on her bed, looking through some of the pictures they took, adding some to a personal folder, while she began captioning others to share with their fans.

Jake came into the room, he flopped on the bed, his head on Erika's bare stomach, as she was only in a sports bra and shorts, Jake in some shorts and a shirt, hair still a bit damp from the shower.

Erika started running her fingers through his hair, smiling a little, feeling his breath tickle her stomach, she loved being peaceful with Jake like that, but she knew all wasn't well, something just didn't feel right...Even after Jake seemed to happily surprised with her song, and how loving they'd been with one another on the trip, she couldn't think of what could have happened between them.

"Jake, baby?" Erika said gently, "Mm," Jake mumbled, "Is everything alright?" She asked, feeling a bit worried, Jake hated the question... He wanted everything to be alright, and at first he thought it was, they were gonna try for another baby, they were on vacation together, Jake had just won a fight, everything was on track, briefly, Jake was letting his guards down, smiling at things, opening up about how he felt with Erika, things finally after so long, they felt okay.

All wasn't well, the texts from Logan stirred up paranoia, and as much as Jake wanted to enjoy this life him and Erika crated, he couldn't, something was wrong, Logan wouldn't text him like that if it wasn't serious, Jake couldn't fathom what it was, but his brain didn't spare him, from every agonizing detail of any and everything that COULD have went wrong...He was angry at the loss of peace he had, he just wanted to know what it was, surely it couldn't be bad enough to ruin what he had going on right there.

Jake looked into Erika's beautiful eyes while she played with his hair, *As long as I got you, I'll be okay,* Jake thought, smiling a little watching Erika mimic him, before she leaned down and kissed his forehead.
